Marienplatz: El corazón de Múnich. Aquí mismo, en el vibrante pulso de la ciudad, se encuentra Marienplatz. Esta histórica plaza ha sido el centro de Múnich durante siglos, famosa por su impresionante Ayuntamiento Nuevo con el emblemático Glockenspiel y su animado ambiente. ¡Es el punto de partida perfecto para nuestra exploración de esta increíble ciudad! Tenemos nuestra breve introducción aquí antes de comenzar el tour en bicicleta.
Hacemos una parada rápida aquí para que nuestros huéspedes compren agua y ponchos y te informen dónde estamos en caso de que quieras alquilar bicicletas después de tu recorrido.
El Platzl: Hogar de Munich Heartbeat. ¡Esta encantadora plaza histórica es esencialmente el lugar de nacimiento de la legendaria cultura cervecera de Múnich! Es famosa por albergar la mundialmente conocida Hofbräuhaus, y sus calles empedradas están bordeadas de edificios tradicionales bávaros. Paramos para un almuerzo tradicional bajo la Torre China. Este es un patio de comidas de autoservicio que también tiene opciones vegetarianas para que todos puedan comer lo que quieran. El precio del lunich no está incluido en el precio del tour.
Hacemos un paseo panorámico a lo largo del Isar - la razón por la que muchos de los lugareños viven aquí, ya que esta es nuestra "playa" en verano.
Hacemos una parada rápida aquí en el otro lado del río Isar antes de continuar a lo largo del río hasta la siguiente parada.
Terminamos nuestro recorrido cerca de esta parada de S-Bahn.
El Maximilianeum, un gran edificio neorrenacentista, fue encargado por el rey Maximiliano II de Baviera en 1857. Diseñado por Friedrich Bürklein, sirvió inicialmente como una institución educativa para estudiantes dotados. Situado a orillas del río Isar, el Maximilianeum es un hito sorprendente en Maximilianstrasse, un bulevar de renombre bordeado de palacios neogóticos. Paramos aquí para una sesión de fotos rápida. Aunque la construcción se retrasó, el edificio finalmente se completó en 1874 y desde entonces ha sufrido renovaciones, particularmente después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

I did Mike's Bike Tour when I was in Munich in 1998 and knowing how much fun I had that time, it was something I knew I had to do again going back to Munich for my first time since then. I am glad it did not disappoint and we had a blast! We did the 11:30 classic tour on Monday, July 20th and the tour and the history knowledge of our guide was amazing! Next time I make it back to Munich I will be checking out some of their other tours or maybe just do this one again!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide (Kyle) was very knowledgable about Munich and the ride itself was fun, even for someone who does not ride frequently. Beer garden was great for a lunch stop.

Must do while in Munich! Chloe was delightful; Tim was a fantastic, personable, and funny guide!!! We learned history, about architecture, and stopped several times, hitting all the highlights…definitely an efficient and fun way to enjoy the city. Everyone in our group from 8 to 65 years old was engaged, comfortable, safe, and happy with the experience.

Really great tour with Scott! This tour was the perfect way to see Munich. We hit all the spots that I was hoping to see and more. Scott did a great job keeping us all together and making us feel like a team. They sell water, sunscreen, and ponchos in the shop before taking off on the tour. It's not a hard bike ride, but it was tricky to navigate through pedestrians, faster bike riders, and cars. Overall, this was a highlight!

Definitely get to see and cover more on a bike tour. Great intro. to Munich. Mike's friendly, professional staff are amazing. I got totally lost and was very late. So grateful to the office lady who kindly turned my diaster into a very positive experience. She organised a staff member to lead me to the tour that was already underway. Bob, tour leader, was welcoming & very infomative regarding Munich's past/present history. We were quite a large group, Bob taught bike lane protocol, crossing safety & guided us well along bike lanes & streets. Glad to have been able to do this excursion with Mikes Bike tours. Well worth doing!
