A great way to get around some of the key points in Glasgow, just wish I had more than 1 day to go around! I did a fair bit of hopping on and off, and also did a full circuit with one of the actual guides rather than the headphones. This was really fun and informative, so thank you Davey! The buses were quite busy at times, but there was still room to accommodate everyone. There were some access issues which are understandable as some roads are still closed following the recent fire near Central train station, but it wasn’t very clear were stop 1 was at first. Can’t be helped while so much work is going on in the city centre though, and we didn’t seem to get stuck in any major traffic which is a massive plus! My 1 day ticket was £20 and I definitely got my moneys worth.
Excellent tour, thoroughly enjoyed the commentary as we travelled along with very friendly driver. Would highly recommend the tour.
Disappointed. I wanted to learn more about the city of Glasgow, which seemed ordinary to me. I feared missing out on its history, so I took this bus. However, its route was not what I had hoped for as it took us to the outskirts of the city. Headphones allow us to access explanations provided in 7 languages, but between two comments, a deafening music fills our ears when we could just absorb the sounds of the city. I do not recommend this useless experience at 20 pounds.
Good tour. Great value for a family. Great music throughout the commentary.
As someone who lives in Glasgow I took the tour with my son for novelty value. Lots of fun. A one off tho.
Well my friend and I when visiting somewhere new, always lie to book a two day Open Top Bus Tour, doing the circuit to find out places we wanted to hop off on when we went out on the second day. As we are fairly elderly, we like places with easy access. We identified the Riverside Museum and the Kelvin grove Museum as the two places we would like to visit, and set off with that intention. Everything was going smoothly but when we got to the Riverside the bus carried straight on, instead of following the route it had taken the previous day and stopping outside the museum, there were so roadworks going on, but our bus the previous day had gone down through these to the Museum. It actually stopped at a normal bus stop further down the road, but this was too far for us to walk back, about 4 other people had wanted to get off her, but none did in the end. When we got off and Kelvin grove my friend asked the driver why he didn't go down to the Museum, and he said because of the roadworks. My friend pointed out that the bus yesterday had gone down and stopped there, but the driver just said we had been told at the start of the tour that we would not be going down, which we had not. We could not have been running behind schedule as we had an unannounced 5 minutes stop at the Vets Campus so the driver and his friend could have a Vape. We also found on this trip that the pre recorded commentary did not quite sync to where we were on the route so we were looking for things that weren't there! On the bus back from Kelvin grove there was a lady doing a live commentary, which was so much better than the prerecorded one, so I would recommend trying to get on a trip with a live commentary
Free earphones so you can listen to your guide as you tour, very informative and a lovely chilled activity. Has made me want to do this again wherever I go. On two of the trips there were live guides which added a more intimate and often humorous feel but did equally enjoy not having a guise so I could just switch off and chill. Would recommend this as you can just hop on and off and wander about exploring!
It a good tour and you see the highlights of Glasgow. We enjoyed it. The only thing I would recommend is that you take the tour with the live guide instead of the recorded narration where you listen through ear buds.

No good signage of temporary stops due to construction! Talked with three others trying to find the stop along the river....no one could find where the stop was. One driver clearly did not want to be doing his job. Wasted a good part of our one day in Glasgow. Edinburgh hop on hop off was ran awesome!! Glasgow couldn't compare! Reached out via messaging for help at the time...and have yet to hear back the next day.

Neither the Viator site nor the City Sightseeing Glasgow was at all helpful in finding a station to hop on. They provide a list of numbered and named stations with no location information or time table. We eventually located three station but all were closed because of construction. Basically paid Viator for a long self-guided city walk.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience in Glasgow did not meet your expectations and that you had difficulty locating our hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus stops. City Sightseeing Glasgow provides clearly numbered stops and route information both on our official map and on our website, and these are designed to help customers easily access the main points of interest across the city. Regarding the stops you mentioned, temporary disruptions or construction work can occasionally affect accessibility or the usability of certain boarding points. However, this is not the standard experience we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating this must have been for your visit. We also regret that you were unable to fully benefit from the service you booked. Our aim is always to offer a convenient way to discover Glasgow’s main attractions through our City Sightseeing hop-on hop-off tour.
