Durante este recorrido en grupo pequeño, visitará 3 bodegas y le dará una buena visión general de la escena vinícola de Šumadija. Probarás vinos de variedades autóctonas locales en Despotika Winery, luego aprenderás sobre King's Wine Cellar y su exhibición histórica donde probarás 2 de sus vinos. Al final, explorará la eminente bodega Aleksandrović y aquí aprenderá por qué se los considera un enólogo serbio de primera. Itinerario
Su primera parada de vino es en el pueblo de Vlaški Do en la bodega Despotika, una bodega joven y acogedora conocida por su enfoque moderno y su ambiente relajado. En grupos pequeños, tendrás tiempo para disfrutar de la cata a un ritmo fácil y acercarte a la gente detrás de los vinos. Lo más destacado aquí es Morava, una rara uva blanca serbia autóctona cultivada por solo un puñado de bodegas, que le da la oportunidad de probar algo verdaderamente local. También probará Prokupac en estilo rosado y rojo, ofreciendo una introducción completa a la variedad de uvas más exclusiva de Serbia.
El tour continúa hacia Topola, el corazón de la región vinícola de Šumadija. Aquí visitarás la histórica bodega real, que perteneció a la familia real de Karađorđević, donde la tradición y la vinificación se unen naturalmente. Mientras caminas por la bodega original, tendrás una idea de cómo se hacía el vino aquí hace décadas y verás un impresionante archivo que conserva botellas de la década de 1930. La visita termina con una nota relajada con una degustación de sus vinos modernos, incluyendo Sauvignon Blanc y Cabernet Sauvignon, ofreciendo un bonito contraste entre el pasado y el presente.
La última parada del día te lleva a la bodega Aleksandrović, una de las principales bodegas premium de Serbia. Aquí descubrirás la conexión entre esta bodega y la histórica Bodega del Rey que visitaste anteriormente, vinculando el patrimonio real con la vinificación serbia moderna. Después de una breve introducción y un paseo por la bodega, disfrutará de una degustación de tres vinos seleccionados, incluido Triumph, elaborado según la receta real original. Es un final apropiado que lleva la historia de los vinos Šumadija al círculo completo, desde la tradición hasta hoy.
Después de completar las catas de vinos, disfrutará de una pausa para almorzar en un restaurante local muy respetado en Topola. We spent a great day with Miljan who thought us the wine history of Serbia, and explained about indigenous grapes and wine production in Serbia. We visited 3 wineries and tasted 8 wines in total, covering white, rose and red wines from both indigenous and international grapes. We also had a lunch stop were we learned about and explored the Serbia cuisine. I can highly recommend joining this tour!
The guide Miljan was perfect, knowledgeable in wines, history… you name it. Sumadija is beautiful, wines taste lovely but we missed some/any nibbles during the wine tasting except in winery Despotika were we got TUC crackers. This probably can be arranged with the wineries and its nothing to blame the guide. We recommend this tour from the bottom of our hearts! Thank you!
Our tourhost Andrija was professional, knowledgeable and fun to spend a day with. We visited and enjoyed Serbian wine while getting tours of each winery and learning about the history and artistic craft of each wine. The winemasters are proud of their product and enjoy sharing with guests. We also visited the Royal Winery along with its informative museum. This tour was spectacular in many ways. From learning about the rich history of Serbia snd its proud culture to seeing the breathtaking countryside. We will be booking another tour this week. Serbia is a wonderful country with warm welcoming people. Serbian Private Tours and their staff are wonderful ambassadors of this majestic country.
Three wineries and lunch. My wife and I were just speechless. Our tour guide Vlada was outstanding. If I have to pick my favourite winery, it would definitely be Aleksandrovic due to their superb wines, but Despotika is placed in extraordinary landscape (and wines are definitely to look forward to). As for King's winery, it has to be seen from history perspective - it is a beautiful, beautiful winery, but right now doesn't have too much in wine offerings.
Being on a business trip to Serbia I especially wanted to get to know Serbian wineries, vineyards, methods and especially - wines. Group trip converted to a private trip due to low number of interested tourists, however I've got a chance to spend a fabulous day with Miljan, who not only knows about local wine industry, but shared a lot of other stories about Serbian culture, history, religious influence and customs. The selection of wineries is great - from state-owned to family-owned, from prosperous to just started and from big-money ones to local producers. This will give you the opportunity to see the spectrum of wine business in Serbia (at least the South region of Belgrade) and the wines they make. Add to it high level of professionalism, enthusiasm and a nice personal touch and you'll have a perfect day And this is what I've experienced :)
