We love private well organized tours with local operators, there's one of the best tour we experienced. The team was highly professional, every detail was perfectly planned. We visited a lot of lovely areas, stayed in family run hotels with gorgeous views and great atmosphere of Sicilian hospitality. The local guides were knowledge, enthusiastic and great story tellers. Our drivers were polite and friendly, and really good. Highly recommend! Best Sicilian experience.
It's a great experience, the tour was planned in minute details, we really enjoyed our drives and guides company, tasted the best food and wine. We felt like a family. Special thanks to a pleasant surprise Giovanni made us bringing us to the home village of our great father. He helped us to find our roots and and to talk to our distance relatives. We made the reservation with the Mysicilyguide T O for English speaking New Barroco Tour to visit 3 cities in Sicily: Noto, Medica, Ragusa. To our biggest surprise we got a driver who doesn’t speak English. We don’t speak Italian. Basically we got very expensive taxi. We tried to contact the company. Nobody pick up the phone. So we managed to explain to the driver that we want to cancel the tour and get the refund. The driver left. I sent the message to the company. No answer. Five hours later Arianna, the manager called us and told me that “tour” means only transportation. We travel a lot around the world. Everywhere the word “tour” means that somebody will tell us about the places we visiting. Manager refused to refund the money. We made the original payment through PayPal. I filed the charge back with PayPal. I recommend that when you travel in Sicily get different company to help you.
Dear Traveller, thank you for your interest to our tours in Sicily. You have booked our tour "Barocco" from Siracusa in three towns: Noto Modica Ragusa directly with us. You received the program, paid the tour and the driver with the vehicle met you on the day of the tour at 10.00 am as agreed in Siracusa. You simply refused to do the tour with no valid reason. In our proposal we never mentioned "English speaking driver or a guided tour". Our conditions were clear since the beginning "tour with the driver", "free time in each place". According to the international Tourism law, the tour can't be reimbursed if already started with no valid reason. It can be canceled 7 hours prior the beginning, no communication was sent to us before. The booking was a direct booking of the tour with no platform used, through you already left the negative review on the platform you never used to book this tour, thus giving the misleading information. No reimbursement is due for the right at the moment cancelation with no valid reason unless force major event, bad weather conditions, illness certified by the doctor.
