It was an amazing day!! Our driver and guide, Tony, was the best. He was very informative and kind. We did not feel rushed, and he assured we had the best experience. It was a 15 hour day, so expect a long day, but it is worth it. Be sure to eat beforehand and carry snacks. There is a lunch stop, which was an hour a half, and was an adequate refresh. The road leading to Amboseli and in the park is very rough. We are not complaining, but advising for travelers who might experience motion sickness or back issues and/or other medical concerns that continued jolting could impact. Be sure to carry a credit card for park entry. They do not accept cash.

Visiting Amboseli with African beast tour was amazing. Our guide Joshua was outstanding through and through. We got to see a lot of animals including very close encounters with elephants! The lodge we stayed at was not luxury (as expected) but quite charming with pretty good food. We were also lucky to be in a great good of people. Note: bring a hat and something to cover your nose as it can get quite dusty

We were picked up at 5am on the dot from our hotel in Nairobi. Immediately we drove south for a 4-hour ride to the gate. First, if you haven't been on the road much in Kenya, prepare yourself for the drive. Under-powered trucks and cars clogging a 2-lane road makes for a lot of passing both ways which can make it a bit alarming at times. But otherwise, it was great to see the sites and small towns/villages enroute. Driver, who was also the tour guide, was great. We stopped once before the park entrance for a rest-stop and then again for a view of Mt. K even before getting to the park. Also saw some giraffes and zebras near the road once we got closer. I paid the entrance fee at the park entrance. Please note that Kenyan's pay less so if traveling with a local friend, don't pay "foreign rates" in advance. The park itself was enjoyable. The driver basically goes along the dirt roads traveled by a lot of other tour vehicles seeking out the animals. A family of elephants crossing our path was the highlight but saw other animals as well. Mt. K was covered in middle by clouds but had a good view of the base and snow-capped top until lunch when clouds covered most of it. As for the lunch at the lodge which I bought separately, it was a good buffet of local food with nice outdoor seating available. Could also get a few nice pictures of the savannah from there. Afterwards we pretty much went straight back to Nairobi at my request since I was still jet-lagged. If we saw something we stopped, but we didn't go searching for more. After about 14 hours, we arrived back at the hotel. Long day but well worth it, especially if you are not interested in a long safari trip and just want a good nature and scenery experience.
Hello Lance, We are glad you enjoyed your one day tour to Amboseli National Park. Regards Daisy.
We had an incredible experience with African Beast Tours on our safari to Amboseli. Our guide, Tony, was outstanding, punctual, professional, and fully prepared when he picked us up from our Nairobi hotel. Throughout the safari, his knowledge of the animals, their behaviors, traits, and survival instincts truly enhanced our experience. Tony was also flexible and accommodating on our return, we asked to stop for lunch at a different place than originally planned, and he was happy to oblige since it was along the way. From start to finish, he carried himself with the utmost professionalism. I highly recommend African Beast Tours for anyone planning a safari in Kenya. They truly deliver a seamless, enriching, and satisfying experience.
