Encuentra a tu guía frente a las escaleras de la entrada principal al edificio Rudolfinum, Alšovo nábř. 12, 110 00 Josefov. El guía llevará un paraguas azul y blanco. Desde aquí tomarás un minibús hasta Terezín, lo que te llevará aproximadamente 1 hora.
El minibús te llevará a Terezín. Terezin se encuentra aproximadamente a noventa millas al norte de Praga y al sur de Litomerice. La ciudad fue construida originalmente en 1780 por el emperador José II de Austria y lleva el nombre de su madre, la emperatriz María Teresa.
Terezin consistía en la Gran Fortaleza y la Pequeña Fortaleza. La Gran Fortaleza estaba rodeada de murallas y contenía barracones. Sin embargo, Terezin no se había utilizado como fortaleza desde 1888; Terezin se había convertido en una ciudad de guarnición que seguía siendo prácticamente la misma, separada casi por completo del resto del campo. La Pequeña Fortaleza fue utilizada como prisión para criminales peligrosos. El problema más grande y grave que enfrentaron estos grupos de trabajo fue la metamorfosis de una ciudad que en 1940 albergaba aproximadamente a 7.000 residentes en un campo de concentración que necesitaba albergar entre 35.000 y 60.000 personas.

Excellent tour, and well worth making the trip. The guides were knowledgeable, terrific and provided details as expected. The driver was excellent! We really appreciated the smaller size tour, and the van was comfortable. The time was sufficient. The team was responsive when I notified them about the meeting place and when I thought we would arrive late. Note, The Terizin site memorial grounds- there was uneven ground, rocks and stairs for those with mobility difficulties. Overall excellent tour.

We did not have a lot of time but liked that this tour provided a half-day afternoon option. Our guide Zora was exceptional and knowledgable, bringing the history to life. The only downside is some of the facilities were closed because it was Saturday (Sabath) and the museum closed at 5pm so we only had 20 minutes to look through it...
