Nuestra excursión a Taormina y Castelmola desde los puertos de cruceros de Mesina y Catania es una excursión única de un día en tierra, que muestra dos de los destinos más encantadores de Sicilia con total comodidad. Con nuestros conductores locales expertos, descubrirá una mezcla perfecta de belleza natural, historia y auténtico ambiente siciliano. Taormina es famoso por sus impresionantes vistas panorámicas sobre el mar. Disfrutará de una parada panorámica en la iglesia Madonna della Rocca antes de continuar hacia Castelmola, un tranquilo pueblo en la cima de una colina con impresionantes vistas. En primer lugar, nos detendremos en el mirador justo encima de Isola Bella, llamado Belvedere, que ofrece vistas impresionantes. Es el lugar ideal para admirar y tomar fotografías de la costa y de la fantástica Isola Bella.
Mientras continúa nuestro viaje, nos dirigimos al encantador pueblo medieval de Castelmola. Esta tranquila ciudad se alza precariamente sobre Taormina. Es imprescindible dar un paseo, con sus modernas callejuelas medievales y su pintoresca plaza con vistas a todo el campo, el Monte Etna y la costa jónica.
Haremos una parada en el famoso Bar Turrisi. Este pub, situado en lo alto de una colina cerca de Taormina, parece muy bonito desde fuera, con sus numerosos balcones y sombrillas de color carmesí que se elevan hacia el cielo. Sin embargo, en cuanto agarras el tirador de la puerta lateral, te das cuenta de que esta taberna es un poco única entre los establecimientos sicilianos. Puedes pagar el vino de almendras y comer también.
Madonna Della Rocca es una iglesia del siglo XV excavada en una montaña. Ubicada justo debajo del Castillo de los Sarracenos, disfrutará de una extraordinaria vista panorámica de Taormina y el Teatro Griego.
A su llegada al centro de Taormina tendrá tiempo libre para pasear por el histórico Corso Umberto. Este es el paseo principal que atraviesa el corazón de Taormina y cuenta con elegantes tiendas de diseño y bonitos cafés y restaurantes.
Tendrás tiempo libre para visitar el teatro griego de Taormina.
El Palazzo Corvaja de Taormina es un palacio medieval que fue construido en el siglo X. La antigua fortificación árabe, construida sobre cimientos romanos, forma parte de la historia del palacio. Su estructura central es una torre de estilo islámico, con ventanas arqueadas y entradas que indican la influencia islámica dentro del patio interior. Hay un balcón ornamentado con vistas al patio y una escalera del siglo XIII que conduce al primer piso. El palacio gótico árabe está almenado y se distribuye en cuatro plantas principales que rodean un patio. El piso principal presenta columnas que dividen pares de ventanas lancetas para fenestración. Los relieves que representan La Creación adornan las paredes del patio. El palacio es ahora un centro de exposiciones donde se pueden tomar fotografías.
Antigua iglesia católica medieval con estatuas ornamentadas y un enorme techo abovedado interior. Puedes tomar fotografías de la estructura.

En el puerto de Messina, recogemos directamente desde el muelle. En el puerto de Catania, recogemos directamente a la salida de la terminal. We had a wonderful day in Tamina with our guide Eduardo who could not have been better. He met us at the cruise port in beautiful car and gave us an excellent tour with lots of information and anecdotes. We visited Giardini Naxos, castelmola where Eduardo introduced us to the excellent masala wine and then on to Taormina. The day could not have been better!

Leonardo & Eduardo were our drivers and they were great ! We ended up doing an adjusted version of this private tour, as half our group wanted to check out a nearby beach instead of Castelmola. We worked with them to figure out an itinerary that would work and they were very accommodating. If you’re thinking about whether to book a private tour or do it by yourself, definitely worth the money to book this tour ! We didn’t have to worry about the logistics or how to get from one place to another.

When first contacting Excursions Sicily Irina, immediately replied with information that we had requested and was very helpful and flexible in order to meet our needs. We ended up booking our tour with this company due to her professionalism and her flexibility and truely listen to our requests. Each and every time we contacted Irina she replied within 24 hours and addressed any concerns.
