Don’t book this tour!! The guide never replied or showed up. It’s ridiculous. Worst customer experience ever. Luckily got refunded by Viator.
As an experienced mountaineer (mainly Alps), I can highly recommend this tour. Not only is Danny a funny and great guide, but he also informs about the environment and regularly checks on the group’s health status. The hike is not very difficult, but challenging because of the meters you climb in this high altitude, therefore it was good to know him aside. Depending on the fitness of people the tour can stop at several levels and still provide a great view! If you manage to get to the summit you’ll be rewarded with a stunning view above Puebla and nearby vulcanoes. It was a bit cloudy on our day, so we couldn’t see that far - but still worth the tour!

So we didn't actually do Malinche. We had to pivot to Itza when there was a rescue on Malinche. That said, it's good but it's intense. Keep in mind, we didn't summit Itza. We just did the second base camp. And even THAT was a lot with elevation. Keep it in mind. But it was beautiful and I'd happily do it again. Great guide, great trip

I booked the trip slightly apprehensive since it was a hard and long day hike which required competent guides to manage the group. i was lucky our guides Daniel and his intern Jesus were very professional and fit my expectations. Daniel had recently climbed Aconcogua and also spoke good english. I was happy to reach the summit with them.

Excellent tour, Carlos and his companion have been great guides. Highly recommended, but it has to be said that it's quite a tough hike
