La famosa Gran Pirámide de Khufu es, con diferencia, la pirámide más grande, alta e intacta de Egipto. Después de su construcción, se convirtió en una de las “Siete Maravillas del Mundo Antiguo”, y hoy en día, es la única de ellas que queda. Durante un período de 4300 años, la pirámide fue también el edificio más alto de la tierra, hasta que los franceses construyeron la Torre Eiffel en 1889. La pirámide de Khufu está construida enteramente de piedra caliza y se considera una obra maestra de la arquitectura. Contiene alrededor de 1.300.000 bloques que varían en peso de 2,5 toneladas a 15 toneladas. Su base cuadrada cubre 13 acres, y sus lados miden unos 230m (755 pies). Sus cuatro lados miran con precisión a los cuatro puntos cardinales y tiene un ángulo de 52 grados
La Pirámide de Khafre, o la 2a Pirámide, es fácilmente reconocible por las capas de sus piedras de revestimiento originales que aún permanecen cerca de su cumbre y esto, junto con el hecho de que en realidad se encuentra en una parte más alta de la meseta, da la impresión de que es más alta que la Gran Pirámide. Una ilusión óptica, ya que solo mide 136 m (446 pies) de altura, con lados de 214.5 m (704 pies), una superficie de 11 acres y un ángulo de 53 grados. También ha perdido parte de su altura original a través de los años, una vez que mide 143,5 m (471 pies) de altura.
El hijo de Khafre, Menkaure, construyó la más pequeña de las 3 pirámides principales en la meseta de Guiza. Éste medía solo 65,5 m (215 pies) de altura, hoy en día 62 m (203 pies), con lados de 105 m (344 pies) y un ángulo de 51,3 grados. Se piensa que esta pirámide fue alterada durante su construcción, y hecha mucho más grande de lo planeado originalmente. La pirámide original, más pequeña, tenía un simple corredor descendente y una cámara funeraria, pero cuando se amplió, se construyó un nuevo corredor con 3 portcullises y una pequeña cámara con paneles. Más tarde aún, se añadió otra cámara funeraria, junto con un almacén en un nivel inferior. Esta pirámide, al igual que sus 2 vecinos, tiene un norte orientado a la entrada.
La Gran Esfinge, o como la conocían los antiguos, “Shesep Ankh” o “la imagen viva”, tiene que ser una de las construcciones más reconocibles de la historia. Piensa en la Esfinge y automáticamente piensas en Egipto y la meseta de Guiza. Esculpida en piedra arenisca blanda, muchos creen que habría desaparecido hace mucho tiempo si no hubiera estado enterrada en la arena durante tantos largos períodos de su vida. El cuerpo mide 60m (200 pies) de largo y 20m (65 pies) de alto. Su cara mide 4m (13ft) de ancho con ojos que miden 2m (6ft) de alto. Está frente al sol naciente y fue venerado tanto por los antiguos, que construyeron un templo frente a él.

Amazing experience with Ahmed our guide, and Mages who was our driver. They took us to a day trip to Alexandria and brought back to Cairo, and showed us important sites. 10/ 10.
- Everything felt scammy, with pushy upselling and constant pressure to agree to additional overpriced add-ons. - The tour offers an early 6 am start, but as soon as I had paid and reached the 24-hour non-cancellation period, the guide tried to change my start time without approval. - I was charged an additional $375. When I asked why, I was told to "reach out to Viator." I politely asked him to fix his own mistake. He was able to reverse the $375 charge, but then I was hit with another $125 charge for “rebooking” the tour. So a $125 tour that I never took ended up costing me $250. I still have not received a refund. - I asked to cancel, but he refused. I was then harassed with 50+ WhatsApp messages and nonstop calls. - He never showed up to give the tour, and I had to find another tour operator on the day of. - I expect his response to this review to claim none of this happened and that I'm somehow at fault. Judge for yourself. I have asked repeatedly for a refund for a service that was never delivered and have received nothing. If you want to roll the dice with this guide, go for it. Just know that you are rolling the dice, and you might lose.
Ehab is a great guide. Very serviable. And Maged, the driver, was always punctual and right where you needed him after every tour. Could not done it without them. Deffinately suggested, Maged and Ehab is the best. Very friendly, sincere and professional people!

Ahmed and his driver are great people. They arrived on time and complied with everything the tour offers and more, he personally suggests spots and locals shops for you to visit, not at random, they are prepared to recieve you with the best egyptian hospitality. We didnt know wether to go or not at first, but we gave it a shot and was worth the while. I recommend the sensitive oils and scents for aeromatherapy, we didnt buy anything but the explanation and “perfomance show” made us feel as though we HAD to tip them. They were flexible also with our drop off, we wanted to go to the Grand Museum afterwards instead of back to the hotel, and they didnt have a problem. Surely i recommend them both!

Karim was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Driver was also safe and friendly, On the tour, you are taken to a few stops before heading to the pyramids. They did have neat items and thoughtful service, but you should be prepared. Seeing pyramids with a guide made it a lot easier. Appreciated having the help with where to go, who to avoid, the history. ATVs allow for some cool pictures. . Overall, recommend this tour guide.

From the very beginning, this experience was elevated by our amazing guide, Ahmed. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and shared Egypt's rich history and fascinating facts with genuine passion. Our pickup driver was also incredibly kind, understanding when we were running a little late, and attentive throughout the day. The itinerary was varied and exciting, allowing us to experience Egyptian culture, explore the pyramids, learn about history and art, and take in the breathtaking scenery. We even had the opportunity to go inside a pyramid, which was a memorable experience. However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the quad biking. The excitement, adrenaline, and sense of freedom as we raced through the desert, weaving through paths and dunes while sand flew into the air around us, was absolutely incredible. It was thrilling, fun, and unforgettable. As a honeymoon experience, it made our trip even more special. We shared so many laughs, exciting moments, and new adventures together.
