Tour de Pérgamo

I really enjoyed it. It was a group tour but I was the only one signed up for this day and they still went ahead with the tour. I had my own driver and guide on a 15 passenger van! I was able to converse with the guide about random questions I had about Turkey. Pergamum is beautiful and way less crowded than other ancient cities. The included lunch was a fabulous home cooked meal at a hidden away complex in the country side. Of course there is a carpet presentation. I went on quite a few 1 and 2 day tours in Turkey and I felt this carpet thing was the most educational and personable out of all I listened to.

I can't say enough positive things about this tour; we had an amazing time! Our guide, Api, was incredibly thorough, but, more than that, his enthusiasm, love of history, and pride in his heritage made him the #1 host out of every tour we took in our weeks through Greece and Istanbul! We took a number of guided tours in Athens, Izmir, and Istanbul, but Api was, by far, the most informative, kind, and helpful guide we encountered. He absolutely made the tour! We chose the Pide option for lunch, and enjoyed it; the transportation van was very comfortable.

Our travel companions, the driver Kemal and the guide Selcuc, were outstanding. A pleasant trip, an extremely interesting tour. Even the lunch in Bergama was good because we tried the local food at a nice place. We keep a lovely memory of this experience.

Erman Uslu is an excellent guide. The tour in Troy and Pergamon was excellent. He has a deep knowledge of ancient history and archaeology. He answered all questions, explained everything in the Troy museum, about the complicated archaeology of Troy with 9 layers of cities and about Pergamon. He provided all assistance, including when I reported back problems and difficulty standing for long periods. A complete guide. The driver was perfect, drove safely and I felt completely safe. Congratulations!

It was a very well explained visit by the Crnk guide, who was always very attentive and patient to answer questions. Also the driver who took us was very friendly.

We had a wonderful time with Elcin. She gave us so many insights into the history of Pergamon and the various places we saw. We really learned a lot and had a great time. She set a great pace for us and answered all our questions. We particularly loved the Asklepion. Although we have visited many sites, we never saw anything like this. The included lunch, at a carpet cooperative was really tasty and the people there were so nice (no pressure to purchase at all). This was a great experience!

We had a great tour with our guide. Erman Uslu. He mentioned that he was msde to be a tour guide and after spending the day with him we have to agree that he was an ideal guide. His knowledge of history is impressive and his relaxed yet professional manner made for a really enjoyable day. Since Erman grew up visitng relatives in Pergamon it was special to hear of how those visits influenced his life and served as a foundation for his interest and love of history. The van was extemely comfortable, our driver Amet excelente and the archeological site is well preserved and not crowded! We couldnt have had a more enjoyable day. We will be recommending this company and tour to all our friends.

We had an amazing trip today and our guide, Mr. Zafer, was absolutely outstanding. His knowledge, passion and storytelling brought every place to life. He answered every question with so much detail and made the whole experience feel personal and special. From start to finish we truly felt like VIPs. The organisation, pace and care he put into the tour made the day unforgettable. If you are visiting the area, I highly recommend booking a tour with Mr. Zafer — you won’t be disappointed!

It was a marvellous experience, one of the best tours we ever had! The guide Ekim has a really good knowledge about the places we visited and other things as well. He told us a lot of interesting stories which satisfied our curiosity and gave us enough context for the places. We had it as a private tour, with pick up and drop off to our hotel in Izmir. The vehicle was very comfortable, and the driver was very experienced.
