Edison is everything you’d want in a guide. For birder’s, he knew locations and songs. He worked hard for us to see every bird we heard. He is pleasant and knowledgeable and has the contacts needed to get into the reserve for the endemic Pale-headed Brushfinch. Highly recommend

We spent four days birding with Edison around Cuenca. Today was our last day and Edison did not disappoint us. Many new birds were seen including great looks at the rediscovered Pale-Headed Brushfinch. We highly recommend Edison if you are looking for a birding guide.

Amazing day birding in Giron and Yunguilla. We chose this trip specifically for the chance to see and photograph the Pale-Headed Brushfinch, specifically protected by Yunguilla Reserve. Not only did we see and get fabulous photos of the Pale-Headed Brushfinch, we added over a dozen additional hard to find species, including the Slaty-backed Thrush, Black-lored Yellowthroat, Pacific Elaenia, Rufous-browed Peppershrike, Purple-collared Woodstar and more. This was our second Ecuadorian trip to the Cuenca area that we have used Edison and Polyepsis Tours and will absolutely use him again in the future. A must for any birder seeking to add some of these species!! Thank you Edison!
We had an excellent birdwatching day with Andres in Girón and the Jocotoco Reserve. The highlight was seeing two uncommon endemic brush-finches at Jocotoco, but all of the birding was great. Andres is a very knowledgeable guide, not only about the birds but also about Cuenca, the southern Andes, and Ecuador in general. I learned so much during the tour. The "picnic" breakfast and restaurant lunch were very good too. I highly recommend this tour if you're a birdwatcher.

We had a great day trip from Cuenca to the Yunguilla reserve. The trip was easy to organise and fairly priced. Edison was really friendly and helped us find birds for our life list. Most importantly, we saw the endemic Pale-headed Brush-finch which can only be seen at this reserve. I would highly recommend taking a day trip if you are in Cuenca and want to spend an easy and fun day birdwatching!
