Our guide was very nice and full of information about the city. The highlight for us was the town of Hahndorf. We also enjoyed the scenic ride back to the ship along the beach.
Lots of time spent on the bus due to the tour being a mix of cruise guests and tourists from downtown. This was not the way the tour was described (it was specifically a cruise excursion only). So the time spent in traffic and picking up and dropping off guests made it a long (6 hour) day of which more than half was spent on the bus. In retrospect we could have gotten a train to the city and uber to Hansdorf and Mt. Lofty for less money than the tour cost and saved time too but it was okay as a first visit to Adelaide to do it with a small group. The meeting instructions could have been clearer. We just were told a time to meet and the bus was unmarked so not easy to find. Had I not had cell service we would not have gotten the call to help us find our driver/guide. This definitely needed improvement. But our driver did a good job and even added a stop for people to buy some chocolate downtown when we were dropping off some guests who stayed near the market.
