Este castillo fue construido en 1537 y sobrevivió durante la guerra para convertirse en uno de los cinco castillos del país designados como Tesoro Nacional. El torreón del castillo está construido en el estilo borogata, o torre de vigilancia, y tiene una construcción de tres techos de cuatro pisos con dos niveles subterráneos. Es el castillo más antiguo de este estilo en Japón. El Santuario Sanko Inari es un santuario histórico ubicado en la base de la colina del castillo. Hay muchos lugares populares para tomar fotografías aquí. Se recomienda tomar algunas fotografías en el túnel de las puertas torii rojas, símbolo del santuario.
Disfruta paseando libremente por la ciudad. El diseño de esta ciudad histórica se determinó durante la construcción del Castillo de Inuyama y estos distritos permanecen sin cambios incluso hoy. Con el distrito de samuráis rodeando el distrito de la gente del pueblo, este diseño fue diseñado para proteger también el castillo. Hay hileras de tiendas que venden albóndigas de dango, tofu dengaku (tofu a la parrilla aderezado con dulce pasta de miso) y goheimochi (pastel de arroz), así como galerías de arte y tiendas de artículos diversos. Los fines de semana, se abre un área donde los visitantes pueden experimentar el lanzamiento de ninja shuriken (estrellas arrojadizas). Aquellos que lo deseen pueden visitar la Sala de Exposiciones Karakuri o el Donden-Kan, donde se puede vivir el Festival Inuyama durante todo el año.

Our tour guide Yuriko was knowledgeable, polite (who isn’t in Japan) and amiable. In a half day we climbed to the top of Inuyama castle, witnessed the festival floats and enjoyed learning about the culture of the samurai city of Inuyama. The castle is historic, the nearby shrine charming and so picturesque. The city streets were lined with vendors and we had time to enjoy mochi and takoyaki. The tour was enjoyable, comfortable and so enlightening. Rated a five star experience for our first trip to Nagoya. Thank you For sharing your city, Yuriko
What a fantastic day we had to the Inuyama Castle, with the added amazing viewing of the history of puppetry at the museum. Our guide Yama-san was excellent!! I wasn't thrilled. castle redone completely empty you have to take your shoes off but the employees wear them no reduction for foreign elderly or handicapped
Do you want to see inside an historic castle keep with massive supporting timbers and climb up the four stories to see a spectacular view of the Kiso River and Inuyama town? Then the Half-day Inuyama Castle and Town tour with Akiko-san is exactly the tour for you. Akiko-san was extremely well prepared from start to finish. She helped us understand the history of Inuyama Castle and some of the different ways the samurai would fight off invaders. We had a leisurely stroll of Inuyama Jokamachi, ate some lunch and decided we needed to find a Japanese sweet shop for dessert. Akiko-san took us a couple of blocks off the beaten path to find us a small quaint sweet shop. Our Half-Day Inuyama Castle and Town Tour with Akiko-san was so much fun and entertaining. Akiko-san ‘s English was excellent and her knowledge of the area was so interesting. We would highly recommend taking this tour with Akiko-san ! She was a wonderful guide.
Satomi-san is an excellent tour guide - extremely friendly and accommodating, explaining everything in easy-to-understand details and helped my dad and I take pictures, and recommended us an amazing restaurant to eat at. She’s very knowledgeable in the history and cultures of Japan and has an excellent grasp of the English language, so don’t worry about language barriers unless your main language isn’t English.
Yuki Ichikawa was an excellent tour guide! Her expertise in the culture and history of Inuyama was perfect for our needs. We explored Inuyama Castle, the Karakuri puppet museum, and the festival float museum. she took us to an adorable little dango shop as well as a local restaurant where we ate some fantastic Kishimen noodle soup. My wife and I highly recommend Tourism Designers, and especially Mrs. Ichikawa.
