Hugo was a great tour guide. He shared so much great information and insight on the tour. We enjoyed the balance of small group tour and free time to explore on our own.

Our guide was wonderful. We ran it some issues in Sintra because of a bike race but he was able to navigate it just fine. Even though it cost us some time he extended the tour to give us the full experience. He didn’t rush us to make up for lost time. Very knowledgeable on the history of both Sintra, Lisbon and the castle. Wonderful experience.

Well done. Tour guide very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour. However, would ask Viator to reconsider the location of meeting place/drop-off point. Av Liberdade #9 is vacant storefront or possibly abandoned building. This location not very welcoming to tourists in my opinion.

The tour was excellent! My guide, Hugo, was so knowledgeable and informative. There is so much history and information and he told it at a good pace, easy to understand, and welcomed questions. He gave us choices, and plenty of exploration time. Sintra and Pena Palace are beautiful. I’m so glad I took this tour, especially lucky to get Hugo for a guide.

Tour guide was very knowledgable and had a lot of information. While we read what was included and what wasn't included in the tour, they were not transparent. Basically what we bought for a lot of money was a ride to and from the castle/town of Sintra with a sample of port and sample of cheesecake. It outlined very clearly that tickets to the castle were not included. Great, we had no desire to go into the castle. However, we were shocked that upon arrival our guide was asking which tickets were we buying? I said, what do you mean? We are not going into the castle. I said we are going with you wherever you go. He got agitated and said you need a ticket-which ticket are you getting? The 4 other people on this tour were also caught by surprise that more money was to be spent on tickets to even enter the grounds. The guide asked, did you read the information sent to you? We all said yes. While the information clearly states that castle tickets are not included, it DOES NOT state anywhere that more money would need to be spent to even see the outside of the castle to enter the grounds. VERY disappointing to say the least. This has NEVER happened on any other tour where everything wasn't included. The castle is fabulous and has a lot of history and the town of Sintra is darling. A must see for sure while in the area. Just be warned on what you are purchasing. The car was clean and had a/c. The driver drove very fast and had us all very nervous. NOT KIDDING on this either. We think he was anxious to get back to Lisbon. The car had access to get past the point where many cars don't have access, that was great. We only had to walk a short bit up hill from that parking lot. You need a ticket to enter the grounds of the castle. You need another ticket to go inside the castle. Make sure you have good wlaking shoes because there is a lot of uphill walking.Glad we were able to see it, just wish there would have been transparancy on what we bought. A lot of money for a car ride.

We had a fantastic time exploring Pena Palace and Sintra. Our guide Omer was incredibly patient and was willing to answer any and all questions. Definitely a fantastic tour if you don't want to be out all day. Would highly recommend!

Pedro, our guide, was extremely engaging, knowledgeable, and personable. He made our day both fun and efficient. He was a wealth of historical information about Portugal and shared interesting stories from the country’s history. We stopped in Old Town and sampled some classic Portuguese treats then continued up the mountain to Sintra. It was definitely worth the money and lasted around 4 hours, which was the perfect amount of time. I would highly recommend this tour! It is simply a MUST! It was easily my favorite thing I did during my 10 day trip abroad.
