En este tour visitaremos 3 de los sitios históricos más antiguos y hermosos de Transilvania. Visitaremos el pueblo de Saxon Viscri, con calles rústicas y casas sajonas de hermosos colores. Subiremos a la colina y visitaremos la iglesia blanca fortificada, de ahí el nombre del pueblo de Viscri (la Iglesia Blanca). Luego nos dirigiremos a Sighisoara, la ciudad jugó un papel estratégico y comercial importante en los límites de Europa Central durante varios siglos. Las casas medievales antiguas con una hermosa arquitectura, calles estrechas con casas de colores brillantes volverán en el tiempo y te harán sentir como princesas y príncipes (ver Vlad Tepes) que vivieron en la ciudad. La ciudadela de Rupea, construida en la colina de Cohalmului, que domina la ciudad desde arriba, fue construida y expandida en los siglos XIV-XVII, como fortaleza y refugio para los pueblos circundantes.

Es una fortaleza medieval, construida a partir del siglo XIV en la colina de Cohalm. El primer testimonio documental data de 1324 cuando los sajones se rebelaron contra el rey Carol Robert de Hungría y se refugiaron dentro de la fortaleza, Castrum Kuholm. El nombre de Kuholom hace referencia a la roca sobre la que se construyó: el basalto. Documentos del siglo XV mencionan la fortaleza como un importante centro de comercio y artesanía con 12 gremios. La ciudadela sirvió a lo largo del tiempo como fortificación pero también como refugio para la población que vivía en las colinas y valles circundantes, siendo su asentamiento estratégico: en el cruce de las carreteras que conectan Transilvania, Moldavia y Valaquia a través de los pasos del sureste. Ciudadela de Rupea, construida sobre el cerro Cohalmului, dominando la ciudad desde lo alto, fue construido y ampliado en los siglos XIV-XVII, como fortaleza y refugio de los pueblos aledaños.
Su primera parada es el pueblo de Viscri, del siglo XIV, construido por colonos sajones. Es una de las iglesias fortificadas más hermosas y antiguas de Transilvania. Pasee por las rústicas calles del pueblo y visite su iglesia declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Socializaremos Con los campesinos, pruebe la palinca (Brandy) hecha en el pueblo, comprará los productos hechos a mano por los campesinos del pueblo y nos refrescaremos con el delicioso jarabe de frutas "Socata".
Sighisora es considerada la ciudadela habitada más hermosa y mejor conservada de Europa, con una auténtica arquitectura medieval. Es una de las pocas ciudades fortificadas que aún están habitadas. Vlad Tepes, alias Drácula, nació en esta ciudad en 1431 y lo haremos visite la casa donde nació la huella misteriosa. El centro de Sighisoara ha conservado de manera ejemplar las características de una pequeña ciudad fortificada medieval, que ha sido catalogado por la UNESCO como Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

Wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Traian, was excellent at covering much ground in little time while also balancing it with whatever the group needed and adjusting to our preferences. He was already patient with our sightseeing and photo taking — I don’t think I’ve ever had such a pleasant tour experience. Our group was only seven people total, all lovely, and we connected throughout the day. We had some local food and experiences mixed with the UNESCO sightseeing too. Highly recommend!

Excellent day really interesting our guide Traian was really informative loads of historical facts and stories. The booking was easy and they gave us advice on what to do about buying tickets for the attractions. We have booked another 2 tours with this company and looking forward to them.
Wonderful experience. Traian was easy to get along with and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Romania in general and of the historical sites we saw. We made new friends in the other tour passengers.

What a fantastic trip. Rupea is enthralling, Viscri is like stepping back to a quieter time, withe the surprise of finding out that King Charles owns a house there and Sighisoara is beautiful. Triain our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. If you’re in Brasov give it a go.

The tour guide was outstanding—not only incredibly polite and helpful but also genuinely attentive to every participant's needs. They provided deep and engaging insights into the history of the various landmarks. Thanks to the guide's warm and welcoming demeanor, the atmosphere was excellent throughout. This tour offers fantastic value for money and is well worth the investment.
This is a day tour full of interesting sights and history. We were the only 2 people on the tour so it effectively became a private tour. Traian is very knowledgeable about the various sites visited, which included Rupea Fortress, Viscri, with the fortified church and the property owned by King Charles, and the atmospheric and historic town of Sighisoara, where we had a walking tour and enjoyed lunch at ‘Dracula’s Restaurant’. Although admission to the various sites is not included in the tour price, these are not expensive and there is no obligation to enter these. We also had some free time in Sighisoara, and were caught in a thunderstorm walking back to the vehicle, although Traian came to meet us carrying umbrellas, which was a nice touch! Overall I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see and learn more about this fascinating region.
