Fantastic, enjoyable and informative tour of the South Coast given by Plow today! He picked us up from our hotel in Dickenson Bay which you can request, and for the next four hours we enjoyed a great drive around the beautiful southern coast. Plow is so friendly and knowledgeable and I’d fully recommend him, he knows so much about his country and loves it very dearly - we learned so much about the history and culture, stopping at Nelson’s Dockyard, the Interpretation Centre and a few other local spots. So many highlights and memories made, keep up the great work guys!
Our guide was very friendly and explained so many sites on this tour. We thoroughly enjoyed sightseeing with him!
Much longer (4.5 hrs) than advertised. Not a problem but be aware. The guides Plow was excellent but his 6 passenger vehicle showed much wear. Site locations were excellent.
My tour guide Plow was amazing! super knowledgeable and really passionate about the island. Everything went so smooth, and the tour was perfectly planned and on time! I highly recommend!
Great tour. They tour operator was flexible in the time since our ship didn't arrive in port in time for the designatied tour time. Plow was our tour guide. It turned out to be a private tour as no one else had signed up.
Great tour. Enjoyed Devil's Bridge the most. Betty's Hope wasl closed on Sunday and we had been to Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley Hieghts before.
We saw the historical places in Antigua, mostly connected with the British activities in the island - including nicely renovated Nelson's dockyard.
Thank you for your kind feed back, the history of Nelson's dockyard is wonderful and is amazing for us to be able to share, thanks again Carl
We rode with the owners son and he was very informative, polite and hospitable. We were not surprised to be with another party, however, even though the mini van was officially an 8 seater, there were 7 of us and we sat hip to hip with knees touching the seats in front. It was not a comfortable ride due to lack of space, especially with people you do not know. It would have been better to limit it to 6 riders. You need to be aware that there is a $15/person fee to enter Nelson's Dockyard/Shirley's Heights and a $2 fee to enter Betty's Hope. Maybe it's my fault for not knowing this, but it put a damper on the trip, especially with two separate groups having to discuss if they wanted to pay. Majority ruled and we did not visit the dockyard or have the great view, but the owners son did drive a different route, so we could see some huge yachts. It is marked on the tour that fees are not included, but it doesn't indicate what you have to pay for. The Devil’s bridge does not have a fee. Overall it was a good tour and worth the price. We felt safe and informed with with our driver.
Thank you for feedback and your suggestions, we will take on board giving additional attention when general consensus is sought, so that no one is left feeling not able to voice their wishes. I will also investigate what happened with the two groups. Just to share with you, we are in the process of adding a 10 seater vehicle to our fleet. Our understanding, the range of fees are detailed at the site UNESCO Nelson's Dockyard national park, by The National Parks Authority. Some fees detailed on the National parks website https://www.nationalparksantigua.com We will also add the current entrance 15$USD fee information Carl
Betty’s Hope and Devil’s Bridge was great. Great tour guide accommodating to changes in tour. Very personable.
Thank you kindly really good to hear you had a good day and enjoyed your time discovering Antigua's gems. Carl
My husband and booked a North Coast trip with Carl during our recent visit to Antigua. Carl was pleasant, friendly and talkative as he told us about Antigua's history. We were supposed to visit four places for a 2.5 hour duration but he made several more stops and the trip ended up being 4 to 5 hours. The tour was great with lots of beautiful views and photo ops. Our favourite was Devil's bridge, which despite the name was absolutely magnificent and a must see. Carl provided local drinks and gave us the opportunity to explore on our own. We were even able to do a bit of shopping at Nelson's dockyard. The tour ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks Carl.
Thank for taking the time to share about your time discovering the history and special sites in Antigua. I am so glad you had a fun day here and to have been the highlight of your trip is a privilege, take care Carl
