Primera calle de América
Es la única residencia conocida de un miembro de la familia de Cristóbal Colón,[1] su hijo primogénito Diego Colón.
El edificio se encuentra en los terrenos de la antigua Mansión Presidencial, construida durante la ocupación militar estadounidense de 1916-1924.
Teatro
Construido originalmente en 1508, ahora alberga un museo muy informativo que explica la rica historia de esta isla y el país de República Dominicana. También alberga una colección de armas que alguna vez pertenecieron al dictador Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina.
Cuando entres en la catedral sentirás que te invade una calma. Ver el interior por primera vez es una auténtica experiencia. I had an outstanding and informative tour of Santo Domingo. Darius and Berez were exceptional as our tour guide and driver, respectively. Darius was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, engaging, and had a great sense of humor, making the history and culture of the city come alive. Berez was an excellent driver and was kind, professional, and courteous throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to gain a broad understanding of Santo Domingo, its rich history, and its culture. In addition to visiting the major landmarks, you also get a meaningful glimpse into the daily life of the people who call Santo Domingo home. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Darius was the man awesome funny and very knowledgeable since he lived where the tour was. It didn’t feel like all day there was a lot but not too much highly recommend

Darius was a very knowledgeable and good tour guide. He translated everything into 3 languages. The tour is grueling as far as walking and climbing stairs and you need to wear the appropriate clothing. We had a great time!
The guide, Nacho, was friendly and interactive. Nacho was knowledgeable of the history and was extremely accommodating. The driver, Rene was also friendly and very professional. The water they provided was very nice due to the heat of the day.

Decided to do a solo trip to Punta Cana and wanted to check out Santo Domingo for a day. The sign up process was smooth from the hotel. The bus came right on time and the guide Kevin Sullivan did an incredible job. I felt safe, comfortable and informed the whole way. Would def recommend to all!

It was an excellent experience. The pickup was directly at the hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus, at the agreed-upon time. Throughout the entire tour, the bus driver, René, and the tour guide, Kevin, were very professional and attentive. Kevin speaks different languages, such as English and Spanish, and knows quite a bit about the history of Santo Domingo. We went to the basilica, watched a movie about the history, and visited important places in the historic center. Lunch was included and was buffet-style. In general, it is a plan that, for everything it includes, justifies the price very well. The visit lasts all day, from 7 am until approximately 7 pm, back at the hotel.
