Edwin is very knowledgeable and can answer questions besides food. Every where we went he was greeted with open arms. This was a little different food tour as you paid for the food but only was about $10. The upside was you at several places you ordered what you wanted. Our tour was longer than 3 hours but we took our time and Edwin did not rush us. We certainly went to places we wouldn’t have found on our own. Fantastic food tour and guide.
Thank you Edwin for an amazing tour, it was incredible getting to go and experience a truly authentic local food experience! This tour covers spots that are not aimed at tourists and are all locally owned and operated, not only did this give me a great inside into the local cuisine but also ended up being super cheap (good and drinks cost around $10 in total). It was amazing to also have the history of the city and peoples tied into the different foods, this gave a real meaning to each dish and covered why it is important to the local culture. I 100% recommend this tour to everyone who comes to Quito!
Hey Rory, was wonderful for me to show you Quito... Keep enjoying here my friend.
We met Edwin doing the Kitu chocolate tour. We wanted a tour that was less touristy and more local, and it definitely was. Edwin was knowledgeable and took us to 4-5 huecas where we could try local cuisine. Edwin knew all the owners and we were supporting local! We also tried a bunch of things that we weren’t aware of or we wouldn’t have tried on our own. Definitely worth it!
I was wonderful to meet you your both guys. Enjoy Ecuador and best regards
We absolutely loved our local food and history tour in Quito with Edwin. First and foremost, Edwin was an exceptional and genuine guide; he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his country and the city of Quito. His mission with the tour is to highlight local businesses and connect food, people, and culture. Being able to explore the Huecas was such a unique experience, and one that we would not have known on our on. We highly recommend doing this tour with Edwin to enjoy a local emersion of local and traditional food, people, and culture.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ One for each one you... Thanks so much.
We spent a wonderful day with Edwin and had a bonus to meet his son. Edwin is a local guide with so much knowledge. He is professional, and pleasant and brought us to great little local spots we would never have visited on our own, trying authentic food and even a longer chocolate lesson and tasting. The food was amazing and his service outstanding. His English is great. All around a highly recommended experience!
It was my real pleasure to show you my lovely Quito. It so nice to find wonderful people like you... My biggest thank you
This was the best thing we have done in Quito so far when we come back would definitely like to meet up again and do another tour with him it is a must if anyone is coming to Quito :) He is very knowledgeable about the history of Quito, which is very interesting to learn about along the way, and the stops he takes you to on the food tour are very neat experiences! If you do the food tour, make sure to skip breakfast, you will be trying a lot of yummy Ecuadorian favorites!
It was an honor to show Quito without filters... Best regards, Edwin
The food tour with Edwin was brilliant. As we are vegetarians he tailored the tour for us, ensuring we had something at every stop, e.g. a sandwich with a secret sauce, hot chocolate with a cheese sandwich, Ecuadorean lupin legumes with crispy corn and plantain chip. These were all small local businesses which we would never have found on our own. The chocolate tasting was also amazing as we got to taste local flavours we had never tasted before. Edwin provided historical information and pointed out historical landmarks and points of interest along the way. Great opportunity to eat like a local.
Hey You were one of us!!! gracias por reservar y buen viaje... att, Edwin
So good! Very friendly guy, very local stops with great knowledge of the town and the history. Food was all high quality and very cheap.
Buenazo my friend... 😄😄😄
Could not recommend this tour more! We only had one day in Quito and this was such a wonderful way to see the city, eat some authentic, local food and learn about local culture and history. I can safely say we would have never found any of the food places we visited without Edwin’s guidance. Edwin was a wonderful guide who spoke excellent English and Spanish. My husband and I enjoyed this experience immensely 😊 we will definitely message Edwin again if we are back in Quito to explore the city more!
It was very especial for me to serve you. Best regards and thanks for everything.
Edwin was phenomenal. One of the kindest guides I’ve ever met and he really cares about creating a nice personalized experience that you are satisfied with. The tour was phenomenal. I learned a lot, ate good food and enjoyed chatting with Edwin. Edwin does amazing in showing local spots (and introducing you to the owners and workers all of which he knows well) and giving you a taste of Ecuadorian culture. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn about Ecuador culture, eat good food or just have a good time.
Fue un placer amigo... Quito realmente merece mas que solo un walking tour. Saludos
