Itinerario

Very fun, excellent guides! Would definitely do it again. The views are amazing, and it is very safe! I have not seen any references to the bus trip from the port. The large bus we were on was not designed for the roads up the mountain. The driver was either inexperienced or struggling with an aging bus. The guide on the bus was either new or needing new material; he was repetitive. My best advice would be to book the canopy tour and separate safe and appropriate transportation for the mountain.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. We're glad you enjoyed our product, and we appreciate your 5 stars review. We're extremely happy that you had a positive experience, and we're grateful for your feedback.
Finding the tour guide was not the easiest. Instructions said they would be wearing green polo uniform but we’re actually wearing white polo’s. When leaving the cruise port a lot of people hassling you so you want to be sure you’re with right guide. Otherwise tour guide was very friendly and informational. No complaints about the tour… but be careful at the stores/restaurants directly outside of port. Our waiter scammed us saying we only gave him $20 for our bill when we actually gave $40. Count your money out in front of them and the register.
I was nervous but this seemed well run and the staff hooked us in on each platform. Very safe. We saw a sloth up in the trees. They will brake for you so don’t pull out your shoulder when over reacting first few times. Don’t worry! It is fun!
Tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable on the 1.5 hr ride from the ship. Interesting to see the Costa Rican countryside and small hillside houses. Zipline staff were friendly and very helpful, and it all felt very safe. Beautiful scenery and surroundings. We saw monkeys in the trees! But zipline course was just average with too many short runs. We were hoping for more exciting ziplines.
My wife and I booked just the zip-line experience--the same one we enjoyed in 2019 on another cruise. The zip-line operator had SIGNIFICANTLY updated their attraction from our last visit. We definitely enjoyed this second time around. My wife and I are both in our mid-70s. So, you cannot use age as an 'excuse' to not take this adventure unless you have mobility problems which we do not. We felt VERY safe in the care of our guides. Please, please give tips for the guides at the end. We had at least eight guides on our journey. We had 11 platform-to-platform connections. Our guides would always position themselves to 'receive' us as we transited each connection. We were joined with a much larger group from a German cruise ship. I believe that my wife was the ONLY one to drop some currency into the 'tip box' at the end of the trip. She was definitely recognized by the guides for her 'consideration'. We had booked just the zip-line as we had experienced the tortuguero canal tour the first time around. While we were offered a complimentary upgrade to take the canal tour again, we opted to return to the ship instead. The tour operator complied with our request.
People who are respectful of the environment and motivated to share their concerns Beautiful presentation of animal and plant life especially that of butterfly life Have enjoyed the activity very much
Thank you for your review
The guides and the zipline experience were terrific. The boat tour was not quite as professional — could have used a guide who was familiar with the wildlife and the area on a microphone pointing out interesting features. We did see some interesting animals but it seemed a bit haphazard. Your guide and bus driver were very accommodating helping me find an ATM at the end of the tour.
Thank you very much for your review about our tour. We really appreciate it.
I went on this tour as a solo traveler visiting for one day on a cruise ship. I walked through the small port shopping market and outside the fence area and right away, I saw a sign with my name on it and was directed to van across the street. The van had wifi which was really nice. Our tour guide was very informative and told us lots about the history of both Limon and Costa Rica. The driver was quiet but got us where we needed to be. The road to the Zip Line was bumpy and unpaved but had beautiful scenery. Zip lining was fun as expected. Our guides kept us safe and explained everything to us. After the zip line we went and did a river cruise rather than to a banana plantation. We were able to see wild monkeys in the trees, at least 5 different sloths, 2 caiman crocodiles and even the "jesus" lizard that walks on water although he was resting on a log at the time. Plus lots of birds and even some bats. On the way back to the port (or maybe it was before the river cruise) we visited a shop where we could buy food and gifts. I bought some stuff but found the prices to be a bit cheaper in the market place by the cruise ship. FYI--$10 t shirts and $25 hoodies and I negotiated as I bought more things. I would definitely recommend this activity. It was a great way to spend a day in Costa Rica.
Hello. Thank you very much for this beautiful and well explained review about our zipline canopy tour experience. We really appreciate it.
This was awesome. Guides were great and safety first conscience. It was a total rush for this 63 years old.
We appreciate very much your positive review. Thank you
We were really looking forward to this tour. We were on Holland America and this specific tour wasn't on the list offered above. We didn't go to the Banana Plantation, we did a Jungle Cruise after our ziplining adventure. The Ziplining was awesome! The Jungle Cruise was also. The reason for the 3 star rating was that we waited 20 minutes or more for people who didn't show up. There were 2 other ships docked in Puerto Limon that day. We arrived at the ziplining right after a large tour bus from another ship. What was supposed to be a 4 hour excursion ended up being 6+ hours. We were getting concerned about returning back to the ship on time and we weren't offered any lunch, nor was it suggested that we bring lunch with us. Our day started at 8 am and we arrived back between 2:30-3 pm. We had to be back on the ship by 3:30 pm, so not much time to shop in Costa Rica. This was very disappointing and we wanted souveniers from there. We were able to get a couple things, but was quite rushed. We were given fruit at each location, but for someone who has sugar concerns, went without protein for 6 hours. I had a headache, which I knew was from too much sugar and no protein for so long. Wish they would have taken these things into consideration. On another note, don't buy the video or pictures from the photographers there. They didn't provide either timely, or at all.
