Combinando la historia de la cocina de Luisiana y los cócteles al estilo de Nueva Orleans, este evento es un banquete para los sentidos! Junto con su guía visitará hasta 6 ubicaciones : galardonados restaurantes de mariscos, salones de cócteles artesanales nominados a James Beard, restaurantes criollos, tiendas de dulces artesanales y más. Una vez dentro probarás hasta 6 o más platos diferentes que representan las expresiones modernas de nuestra herencia culinaria : platos clásicos como el gumbo, y las muffulettas, pero también nuevas interpretaciones como los plátanos fritos dulces! (¡Opciones vegetarianas disponibles también!) ¡También disfrutaremos de 4 cócteles de tamaño completo como la refrescante Copa Pimm, el huracán con ron, el clásico Daiquiri y más! Esta odisea gastronómica de 4 horas es nuestra forma de mostrarte a dónde nos gusta ir ahora, y qué nos gusta comer y beber una vez que estamos allí. Itinerario
El recorrido a pie comienza dentro de la galardonada Red Fish Grill en el barrio French Quarter de Nueva Orleans. Comenzarás con Salchichas de Caimán y Gumbo de Marisco. También comenzamos la fiesta con nuestro primer cóctel aquí: el Cat 5 Hurricane. Esta parte del recorrido se centra históricamente en el período precolonial y colonial de la historia de Luisiana, y suele durar unos 35 minutos.
Bajando cuatro cuadras entrarás al Palacio de la Pimienta, donde comenzaremos a discutir la influencia cajún, y probaremos una variedad ilimitada de salsas picantes, salsas BBQ, salsas Buffalo Wings, salsas, frotamientos secos y más. Los clientes del tour también recibirán una botella gratis de salsa picante estilo Luisiana.
Nuestro cuarto lugar será una experiencia sentada en el emblemático restaurante Napoleon House. Famoso por sus Muffulettas únicas y cócteles Pimm's Cup, disfrutará de ambos, además de un pollo salado y salchicha Andouille Jambalaya. En este punto, el Guía Turístico no solo explicará estos platos, sino también los patrones de inmigrantes del siglo XIX a Nueva Orleans que afectaron la cocina de Luisiana una vez más.
Desde allí se camina más allá de Bourbon Street y se mueve 4 cuadras hasta Leah’s Pralines: una tienda de dulces de 3a generación de propiedad familiar. Degustarás los pralinés tradicionales y su singular Bacon Pecan Brittle.
Luego te dirigirás al Cane & Table, nominado al Premio James Beard. Con un enfoque en la cocina colonial rústica y bebidas lúdicas de ron, probará sus plátanos fritos con crema de lima y salsa macha y un daiquiri clásico de ron blanco caribeño, lima fresca y azúcar.
Pase por la emblemática Plaza Jackson durante su recorrido gastronómico a pie.

Our guide Ben was amazing. He knows all about the history of New Orleans and the story behind the dishes and the cocktails. A good trip to include in the first days of your stay so you know ehat to look for during the rest of your trip. You can collect all the tips and tricks of navigating New Orleans.
My friend and I decided to do this food tour as a part of our trip to New Orleans. I was kind of hesitant at first because I do not like a lot of seafood and I knew that it was going to be on the tour. I decided to go with the vegetarian options and they did not disappoint. I’m glad that this was a choice considering that spending all that money and not being able to have anything to eat would not make me very happy. Our tour guide Meg was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and personable. The stops that we went to had either good food, good drinks, both -or- things to sample. The samples were all of quality ingredients. The tour was for up to 16 people, but we only had five people which made it small and intimate by the end. We felt like we made a lot of new friends.
This tour was complete worth it. We had good food and drinks along with learning about New Orleans history. Our tour guide was fantastic. I would absolutely do it again and recommend to others. It is worth the price to do the food and cocktail tour

11/10 would recommend this tour to people. And hope that you get Ben as a guide because he was so knowledgeable and friendly, he had excellent rapport with the staff at every single stop. The food and cocktails were excellent at every stop. There was a bit of walking but it was by no means difficult, all flat, and there was enough time between stops to recover if need be. Definitely will be recommending this tour!

Our tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and accomodating. We learned a great deal about the history of the city as well as the history of the food and cocktails. The restaurants were beautiful; the food and cocktails were fantastic. The praline store and the spice store were great. We brought home some of New Orleans to enjoy and remember our trip. I would definitely take this tour again
