Itinerario
El punto de partida de nuestro itinerario para descubrir Bari es el Castillo normando de Suabia, que siempre ha sido protagonista de los acontecimientos de la ciudad y está rodeado por un imponente foso. Veremos el castillo solo por fuera. Los interesados en el interior pueden visitarlo al final del recorrido por su cuenta.
Quizás no haya una calle más representativa de Bari que la famosa Strada Arco Basso, pero más conocida como la calle de orecchiette. Aquí Rosa, Angela, Nunzia y las demás mujeres de la antigua Bari elaboran incansablemente orecchiette a mano, la forma típica de la pasta de Bari. Nos tomaremos el tiempo para charlar y tomar fotos, para aquellos que lo deseen.
La Catedral de San Sabino es la siguiente parada, que no debe confundirse con la más famosa Basílica de San Nicola, pero igualmente espléndida.
Es el corazón de Bari, en un sentido físico pero sobre todo en un sentido emocional. En él se guardan las reliquias de San Nicolás. Incluso hoy, como en la antigüedad, miles de viajeros de todo el mundo vienen a visitarlo.
Nos daremos tiempo para un agradable paseo por las antiguas murallas del siglo XVI, desde las que podremos disfrutar de un paisaje espectacular.
Rodeada de antiguos palacios renacentistas, la Colonna degli Infami (o dell'Infamia) se eleva en el centro al que una vez fueron atados los deudores insolventes. Hoy la plaza está llena de restaurantes, bares, heladerías y discotecas, así como el centro de la vida nocturna.
Esta encantadora plaza cerca del mar representa la última parada de nuestro viaje: aquí se unen la ciudad vieja y los barrios modernos. Solo un momento para admirar los antiguos mercados de pescado y carne y nuestro viaje puede considerarse concluido.

Great tour. Very informative and interesting. Our guide brought the history and culture of Bari to life. Loved the mix of contemporary art, food, architecture and history.
Our group was disappointed with the tour. Despite braving the rain and things starting out with lots of interaction and information, the guide started taking calls to coordinate other tours later that day. In the middle of a discussion or answering a question, the guide took calls and at one point didn’t realize the group had stopped to take photos and to see more as he talked on the phone and walked away. We would use a different guide/company next time
If you want to understand Bari more deeply than Spritzes, Foccacia and Orrecchiette this is the tour to take. My guide was able to help me understand the beauty of Bari, some history, the legends and the facts. He was so knowledgeable and he responded to my specific questions and curiosities. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable--from specific details related to Bari, to much larger events of the time. He was also very animated. The tour gives a nice overview of Bari Vecchia without feeling like a slog.
