Tour de auténticas tapas valencianas con una pizca de historia

La cocina mediterránea está llena de delicias. Sin duda, el máximo exponente de esta tradición es el arroz y nuestro plato más mundialmente conocido: la paella. Pero también los dulces, los guisos de pescado y, por supuesto, las tapas valencianas (patatas bravas, titaina, clotxines, cocas, esgarraets, aspencat,...) son platos muy sencillos y autóctonos que no son tan conocidos fuera de la zona, pero que forman parte de lo que ya es un ritual social de los valencianos: el aperitivo (bebida)/aperitivo (comida). Este recorrido será una experiencia única por varias razones: la elección de las tapas que degustarás, los restaurantes legendarios que visitarás, los consejos de cocina que compartiré y la rica historia de la ciudad que combinaré con las historias gastronómicas.

Itinerario
Este es nuestro punto de encuentro y el primer hito que visitaremos. Es una de las estaciones de tren más bonitas de España construida en arquitectura modernista.
Nos dirigiremos al primer restaurante (cerca de la estación) donde te hablaré del origen y significado de las tapas. Compartiré recetas y tips de cocina. Te espera una gran sorpresa respecto a un deporte local arraigado. Degustaremos 2 "tapas" (snacks) y una bebida local, que puede ser un refresco, cerveza o copa de vino.
De camino al segundo restaurante, nos detendremos en la espectacular Plaza del Ayuntamiento, donde hablaré sobre algunos aspectos de la rica historia de Valencia (período del siglo XIX-XX).
Nuestra próxima parada será en el icónico Mercado de la Lonja de la Seda, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Hablaré del esplendor de la ciudad durante los siglos XIV-XVII y su importancia en Europa.
El Mercado Central es una joya, uno de los mejores ejemplos del Modernismo en Valencia, y una maravilla para los sentidos. Comparto algunas recomendaciones para degustar la paella valenciana y otras delicias locales.
La Iglesia de los Santos Juanes es la segunda iglesia barroca más importante después de la de San Nicolás, conocida como la Capilla Sixtina Valenciana. Ambos están vinculados y se lo contaré a los visitantes.
Degustaremos 1 o 2 tapas más (dependiendo del número de participantes) y una bebida (refresco, cerveza o vino) en uno de los bares más míticos situado en pleno corazón del barrio árabe, el Barrio del Carmen.

We had such a great time on the tour with Lucia. We were a group of 4 and were lucky to have Lucia to ourselves for the evening. The tour was a great mixture of delicious tapas and learning some of the history of the lovely city of Valencia. We covered a wide range of subjects chatting to Lucia which gave us a real insight into Spanish and Valencian life. Lucia also gave us some tips on further places to visit during our stay. We would highly recommend this tour.

Lucía was a really engaging guide who took us to really off the beaten path places, especially Trinquet Pelayo. We tasted delicious Valencian tapas I´ve never heard of like "titaina", drank local wine and learnt some of the history. The perfect combination!!! I truly recommend this tour

What a wonderful time we had with Lucia! She took us to some beautifully decorated restaurants where we could try a selection of delicious dishes. She was able to explain the history of those dishes and shared the recipes. I highly recommend this tour where you will learn about food and a bit about the history of the amazing city of Valencia
