Luxurious boat with stable and quiet running. Good food and friendly staff. Fun with belly dancing and other behavior as extra spice.

Had a week on this beautiful vessel. There was low capacity of passengers which meant we got to know the crew better. Cabins are spacious and comfortable. Big Juliette balcony with sliding windows. Sun deck was well stocked with sun loungers and fresh towels. Small pool at one end. Spotlessly clean. Restaurant was lovely, very good quality food. The chefs have real pride in what they make. My credit to the chef who does the breads. They were delicious and light. Entertainment was quite poor but with a small amount of passengers it was bearable. I won a raffle prize and had to dance on the dance floor for it. All in all it was a fantastic place to go up and didn’t the Nile. I’d love to retutn

This was a trip of a lifetime and I got to do all things I hoped to do - see famous temples, swim in the Nile and ride a camel! From the moment I arrived in Luxor and the day I departed from Aswan I was looked after by various staff. My guide Mohammed was knowledgeable, efficient and he made the experience effortless! A Nile Cruise is the perfect way to experience the beauty of the Nile and all the activity along the banks. The food was excellent and the service on board we superb. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wishing to experience the beauty of Egypt.

We booked our holiday through #ItsSoTravel and #discoveregypt. So glad we did as they were both excellent. Everything was planned impeccably and from the minute we landed in Cairo we felt like we were in good hands. Emam was our Discover Egypt rep, Rahby our brilliant driver and Neven our Egyptologist helped us make the most of our day in Cairo including a trip to the Great Pyramid and Sphinx and visit to the superb Felfela restaurant. We stayed at Ramses Hilton which was perfectly located for the short time we were there! We then flew from Cairo to Luxor to start our cruise to Aswan. We were on the Steigenburgh Legacy which was a lovely boat. Warning, the boat didn’t have a spa as it was advertised and the fitness equipment was very limited. That said, we were kept so busy for the next four days visiting the most amazing sights in an awesome country. Had we have stayed longer the lack of WiFi would have been an issue for our 17 year old. Thankfully the wonderful tours and sights kept us all very well occupied. Our guide Mohammed was an absolute legend who brought the beautiful temples and country alive. The staff on the boat could not have been more attentive and the food and service was excellent. This was our first trip to Egypt and I am so pleased we did it the way we did. Use a reputable company, try to sort your visas online before landing in Cairo (have $US cash if you can’t) take a dongle if you need web access. Wonderful assault on the senses, highly recommended.

The ship is a bit dated, but I was impressed how hard the staff worked to keep it clean. Food was ok, they tried to give us various choices every day. The staff was very accommodating

The trip was amazing. I was with my mother who had cruised the Nile before, but this was a new experience for her. First impressions, the lobby was cool and welcoming, with all the staff being attentive. The restaurant was kept open for us as we had a late arrival and the beds were so comfortable when we were shown to our room. The menu in the restaurant was varied, with plenty for everyone. The waiters were very attentive, and they loved chatting with us. We gave some bars of chocolate for them on a few days and this resulted in virgin cocktails, extra portions and even a brilliant birthday cake and celebration. Hady, who worked the bar on the deck, was always very helpful and made me special drinks which were very refreshing in the Egyptian heat. Our tour guide Adel (Adi) was simply the best. He is a qualified Egyptologist and he had our best interests at heart. My mother had an accident on one of the tours and he made sure she had medication, bandages and assistance, as well as plenty of water. Housekeeping cannot be praised enough. Our towels were shaped into the funniest animals each afternoon, and the place was cleaned very well. Water was replenished each day and the fridge was a great help. The views, smells and sunshine was amazing. Just sitting on the deck with a cold drink in hand, reading a book or looking at the people you pass and waving is a memory I will treasure forever.

We had an open mind about what to expect on the cruise. To our surprise the ship was better than expected. The rooms are spacious. We upgraded to an upper deck French balcony room. We thought we were getting a balcony but apparently a French balcony is just a sliding window, not a balcony. The food was excellent and better than expected, many options and quality very good. The staff are very attentive and looked after us well. We missed the Galabria party as it was late at night and we had to get up early the next morning for a hot air balloon ride, this could have been better co-ordinated.

The Steigenberger Legacy is listed as a 5-star ship but is very far from them. It is a boat more than 20 years old, years felt during the crossing. We were assigned room 407 that is on the side of the engines and both we and other tourists in the area (307 - 207 and its vicinity) had horrible nights until the ship was anchored after 11 p.m. There were times when I anchored on the side of other ships and throughout the night it was impossible to catch an eye because of the noise and loud voices coming from them. Regular food and Room Service quite heavy from the fact that the waiters asked for tips every time they saw us. The swimming pool is just a big hot tub. A boat that must be excluded from the Luxor-Assuan tour if you also want to delight in the crossing over the Nile.

As a solo traveler did 7 night cruise from Luxor down to Aswan, had 10 excursions included (Via Red Sea Holidays), my guide was fantastic and took me to all the sites i wanted i see. My only small complaint is that there are no tea / coffee making facilities in the rooms, and with breakfast generally starting around 7am if you woke up at 5am and wanted a coffee = no chance. The Nile was amazing, the trips fantastic, i added on a balloon trip over Luxor at sun rise before the Valley of the Kings.....OMG. Food and service on board were excellent, staff were brilliant. Highly recommend
