Unfortunately, the tour was canceled shortly before the planned start, so we could not book or plan an alternative. An early cancellation would be desirable. Refund policy is also unclear; only an offer to book a new tour was made. Of course, we are no longer in Berlin. There is still plenty of room for improvement in communication here. It's a pity; it could have been a nice tour.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that your tour could not take place and that the communication regarding the cancellation fell short of your expectations. The safety of our guests and guides is our absolute priority. With extreme heat warnings and temperatures reaching 41°C, conducting a walking tour during the midday sun posed a severe health risk for everyone involved. We understand that the short notice left you without time to plan an alternative activity for your day. We apologize for the frustration this caused and take your comments about improving our communication timeline seriously. While the official extreme weather alerts were updated early that morning, it took our team until 9AM to coordinate and safely call off all mid-day operations.
Had a great time. Friendly. Small group. Informative and fun. Can def recommend for solos those travelling as friends or couples.
This was a very informative tour that I discovered by chance, and I’m glad I joined. I received answers to many of my questions, and the experience felt well-organized and engaging. After the tour, I also visited some of the recommended places and had the opportunity to support local artists, which added extra value to the experience. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, reminding me of the environment I grew up in. Although I live in a smaller place, this experience made me appreciate Berlin much more. Jake was a knowledgeable and lively guide who made the tour enjoyable throughout. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.
Nice Guide! Jake! Interesting stories!
Very knowledgeable and immersed in the subject. The tour was informative and fun, would very much recommend.
This tour is one of the best things you can do while in Berlin. 3 hours of walking through Mitte and Kreuzberg, we learnt about Berlins street art and squatting culture, the context of immigrants in shaping culture and art and had some of the best hot chocolate.
This is an incredibly well put-together tour. It takes you into a side of Berlin less-seen by tourists and you get a real feel for the vibrancy and creativity of the city. Along with information on Berlin as it is now, there is plenty of history and stories of how it got this way. You learn about architecture, the East/West divide, community anctivism and how artists are making a living now. Our guide. Anton, is a working street artist and was warm, friendly and ready to answer everyone’s questions. Everything seemed packed closer together than the history tours of Berlin, so this 3-hour tour is packed with interesting things to see.
The guide was excellent, linking street art to recent history of Berlin. He showed a real in-depth understanding of the area. We had been worried 3 hours was too much but it flew by.
Fantastic tour. Jake, our guide, was extremely informative and interesting. Gave us a real insight into Berlin and also helped us get our bearings a bit on our first visit. Would highly recommend. Even our 15 yo daughter enjoyed it!
A really fun and informative tour led by a super knowledgeable guide. This tour gives you a bit of Berlin’s complex history from all the post-war eras, I felt like I was getting to see a very lived-in slice of the city which I wouldn’t have found otherwise. Would highly recommend.
