En este tour visitaremos Belém, una de las zonas con más encanto de Lisboa y también aprenderemos un poco más sobre los descubrimientos portugueses. Portugal fue el primer imperio global del mundo y todo comenzó en este encantador distrito llamado Belém. Los barcos partieron de sus puertos para navegar a través de lo desconocido, enfrentando lo peligroso de los océanos para descubrir nuevas tierras, construir iglesias y fortalezas para hacer de Portugal el primer imperio global de la historia. Belém también se considera uno de los lugares más hermosos de la ciudad, con sus numerosos edificios históricos y famosos sitios del patrimonio de la UNESCO, el Monasterio de los Jerónimos y la Torre de Belém. Ambos fueron idealizados por el Rey D. Manuel I y construidos en un estilo arquitectónico único que se conoce como el "Estilo Manuelino". También veremos el increíble Monumento a los Descubrimientos, el impresionante Palacio Presidencial, la Plaza Afonso de Albuquerque, los jardines de Belém, el CBB, la Rosa de los Vientos y los Pasteles de Belém.

I did this walking tour of Belém with my parents and we all really enjoyed it. It's such a lovely part of Lisbon, and Shiri was a fantastic guide - friendly, knowledgeable, and great at bringing the history to life. One of the highlights was getting to go behind the scenes and see how the famous Pastéis de Belém are made, which was a really cool experience. We'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon!
Great tour through Belem with Shiri. Shiri is super knowledgeable about the Lisbon history and was very happy to answer the questions from the group. Despite the weather we had a great time walking around.
Natália was amazing and knowledgeable. This tour was well worth the experience (& would have been value for money at twice the cost). Taking the time to understand the history and symbolism of the area was beneficial. To have someone of Natália’s calibre made for a wonderful tour.

Tiago is one of the best guides we’ve ever had, among many walking tours around the world. He brings history to life, using today’s language and metaphors on what could otherwise seem like boring tales of the past. He is attentive to everyone in the group. Our tour was canceled by tour operator. Apparently, not enough people sign up for Lisbon Walking Tour - Discover Belem and the Discoveries Age. Can’t rate it as we never took tour. A bit disappointed.
That's a very unfair review Angela. I reached you out one day before to let you know about the cancellation, as we need at least 4 people to run the tour and offer you some alternatives, but none of them suited your needs. Tiago was an amazing tour guide, and Belem was a fantastic area of Lisbon to visit. Loved everything about this tour... the monastery, the history, the location near the river, the world map near the Tower, and of course the special stop for pasteis de nata. And my friend loved that there were no cobblestones and hills. Don't miss this tour!!
