La casa de Freddie Mercury es el lugar donde nació Freddie, pero su verdadero nombre es farouk bulsara, su padre de Irán y su madre de la India, pero era el famoso cantante de Queen.
Este era el palacio del sultán y fue construido por el tercer sultán conocido como sultán baraghash. Y es conocida como casa de las maravillas porque fue la primera casa con electricidad ahora es museo
Este es el fuerte árabe, fue construido por los árabes para defenderse de los portugueses, pero ahora se usa para festivales como el festival sauti za bulsara, el festival regee y el festival internacional de cine de Zanzíbar.
Este es el Palacio del Sultán, pero ahora es un museo del pueblo, el gobierno abrió un museo para mostrar a la gente la historia, la cultura y las tradiciones de Zanzíbar, y para ser el centro de educación e investigación.
Aquí está el antiguo mercado de esclavos, donde antes los esclavos eran traídos aquí y vendidos, pero los esclavos fueron traídos de diferentes partes de África y vendidos aquí ahora el área es un sitio histórico.
Este es un mercado antiguo y el primero en Zanzíbar, pero el mercado es muy diurno, desde la mañana hasta la noche, venden pescado, carne, frutas, especias, verduras, etc.
Este es un antiguo hospital, pero ahora es un edificio histórico, fue construido por Tharia Topan.

We really enjoyed the historical walking tour with Mohamed, our guide Mohamed was super nice, he is very professional and knowledgeable, we learnt a lot about history of zanzibar, culture and modern traditions, he showed us different attractions but very interesting places for was at fish and spice market. We highly recommend him, he the one of the best tour guide in Zanzibar.
Very interesting half day trip to Stone Town. We first visited the slave museum, then went with our (German speaking!) Guide Mohamed walked through the large market where we could calmly view the wide selection of goods (meat, fish, vegetables, coffee, spices). Then visit the well-known buildings from the outside, these are unfortunately often dilapidated or have just been renovated. There was never the feeling of being in a historic neighbourhood. Despite everything very interesting also thanks to the remarks of our guide. Good thing to interrupt the beach holiday.
The guide (Mohamed) was very prepared. He summarized us the story of the city, showing us the main point of the actual Stone Town city. We recommend him.

We made the half-day excursion to the city, we were changed at the last moment, we had to wait more than half an hour, during this time Mohamed was with us trying to make us wait more bearable. The visit was with Henry, he showed us the city with brief explanations at different points, the problem is that his Spanish was limited and we think he could have told us more details. Enterprise was formal and met the established itinerary and time. We have Mohamed to thank for his management.
We took this tour on a very last minute, just a night before. Was the only one that was not scheduled in the morning, so actually we did not have much of a choice. Luckily, all went just fine. Our guide Mohamed was punctual, decent young man with many interesting stories he was telling during the walk through Stone Town. He was not in a hurry, so we stayed longer than expected and it was really pleasure. We want to thank him and would definitely recommend Mohamed for anyone who wants to explore Stone Town.
