Esta experiencia combina un recorrido a pie inmersivo con una comida relajada y ligera al final, la manera perfecta de explorar Gante con todos sus sentidos. Comenzamos con una breve introducción en el Vrijdagmarkt, antes de emprender un viaje de 1,5 a 2 horas de descubrimiento (comida incluida). En el camino, descubrirás el origen del nombre de Gante y retrocederás hasta los inicios de la ciudad, cuya historia se remonta a casi 1.400 años. Pasea por lugares destacados como Portus Ganda, el encantador puerto de yates, las icónicas tres torres medievales —la Catedral de San Bavo, el campanario de Gante y la Iglesia de San Nicolás— y los históricos muelles de Graslei y Korenlei, que una vez fueron el vibrante corazón del comercio medieval. Pero Gante es mucho más que sus hitos. La ciudad alberga tres apacibles beguinajes, museos notables y parques verdes. Acogió con orgullo la Expo Mundial de 1913 y se ha ganado una reputación internacional como capital del arte callejero, mucho más allá de la famosa calle Graffiti.

We really enjoyed Sophie's introduction of the magical city of Ghent. She did a very nice job of introducing us to both the old and new parts of the city. We also appreciated her willingness to customize the tour to our walking speed and ability. We saw and learned about many important and interesting facts and areas of the city that we otherwise would not have known. It was a very good way of beginning our time in Ghent.

We had a wonderful tour of the city thanks to our guide Sophie. She personalized the tour just for us and our interests. We saw things we would have never known about. We admired her passion and love for the city. This is what will someday bring us back again. The lunch choice was equally as great. Very enjoyable and a highlight of our trip to the beautiful city of Gent.

The walking tour with lunch was very enjoyable. The lunch was a local place with classic Belgium food. The guide had a great deal of knowledge about Ghent. The 2-3 hour time frame was the right amount for this town.
