A tour guide, Emil, was a lovely gentleman, but shared very little knowledge with us in regards to the Lucerne history. for the amount of money that we paid for this tour, we would have expected a much better tour. Save your money and take the train to Lucerne yourself and then take the boat tour! when we asked aviator for a partial refund as we paid almost $2000 for four of us, they refused. Lucerne is absolutely beautiful, but you can look up all the information online. That is basically what our tour guide did. we are still in shock at how much we paid for nothing.
writing bad reviews when you don't get a refund for no reason? how dare are you?
The trip was overpriced. Although guide was a nice and friendly person her knowledge of Lucerne town was limited. She had to go online to check facts many times. USD 950 is definitely overpriced for what was done.
Fact 1: You booked on a 3rd party provider Fact 2: you needed train tickets for the full fare for train and boat Fact 3: Switzerland isn't cheap and a tourguide gets its salary do deliver a quality for a tour.
We wanted and received a low key, relaxing walk around Luzern. And that's exactly what we got. Our guide, Emil, was wonderful and let us set the pace and joined us for lunch. The lion was amazing
We met our guide at the train station. Only one recommendation and that would be that your guides have some kind of identifier as a Viator guide. Abraham was amazing! He took train from Lucerne to pick us up in Basel! It was so nice having a knowledgable individual to direct us thru the process! His tour and knowledge of Lucerne left us all with lasting memories! He directed us to a local restaurant. The food was amazing! The boat trip also beautiful! Despite some light rain we had an amazing day!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you for your review, happy you enjoyed the tour.
Our guide Micheal was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He even spent extra time at the end showing us around Basal.
Thank you for your review to the tour - will share it with the tourguide
Learning the history, seeing the beauty and our wonderful guide Oscar who went well out of his way to accommodate our needs and made sure we had a valued experience. He truly made the tour remarkable.
Thank you for your review, forwarded to the tourguide.
Even though it rained during our entire trip, our guide was wonderful and the group was small. It was easy to find our guide in the train station and easy to hear him with only 8 in our group. Train ride was comfortable. The Lion monument was covered for cleaning, so that was a bit of a let down. The guide didn't make us walk there for nothing. But lunch in an authentic Swiss restaurant was awesome and delicious. Great choice. The boat cruise was also impressive. A good narrative with snow on the peaks of the Alps. Rainy day or not, it was a great experience. I would highly recommend.
Thank you for your review.
We had a wonderful day with Abraham. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us. He took the time to find out what we were wanting to see at the pace we wanted to go.
Thank you for your feedback and I'm happy you have seen the spots you wanted.
Lucerne was a very beautiful city, Abraham was a good guide. We spent a fun day with friends and a very knowledgeable guide. Viator cam thru again.
Thank you for the review.
I was thrilled our tour guide was able to arrange for my daughter and me to add the cogwheel train ride to the top of Mount Pilatus which turned out to be the highlight of the tour. Although, we did enjoy the scenic lake cruise IMMENSELY, too!
we always try to be flexible :-) Happy you enjoyed the tour.
