Had a great time on this walking tour of Munich. Our tour guide, Nic, goes into great detail regarding the significance and history of each place we visited. He also gave some great recommendations of other places visit in Munich. Would definitely recommend this tour if you are interested in the history of the third reich.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and very thorough in her presentation.
Toured with Iain - he was super knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. The meeting point was easy to find. It was an extremely hot day and guide made sure we stopped in places with shade and we had a nice little break for water/snacks in the middle to cool down a bit. There was about 20 in the group but pace was good and care was made to ensure everyone kept up. It was a great way to spend a few hours in Munich - especially if you enjoy WWII history.
Jfit, Thanks for this outstanding review and recommendation of the Thrid Reich Walking Tour of Munich. Best, Radius Tours
Michael was an extremely knowledgeable guide!! We visited many key historical locations regarding the uprising of the Third Reich. Would highly recommend this tour!!
Thanks a lot for sharing your excellent recommendations on the tour!
Great tour hosted by Jake. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions. Thanks to the tour we learnt about the history of places and buildings we would have otherwise just walked past!
Super that you had a great tour with Jake and Radius Tours.
My wife and I had an excellent tour with Iain, who was incredibly knowledgeable about Munich Nazi history. Fabulous tour, even on a wickedly hot day. Iain, thank you, it was outstanding. We learned a TON!!
Steve, glad you experienced an excellent tour with Iain and Radius Tours
My tour guide Sam was excellent and had extensive knowledge of Munich and the NSDAP’s history. He was able to talk in depth about each location, its significance and also had photo evidence to show us as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour as a lover of history and having studied the regimes history in the past, and learnt a lot of new information. If you really enjoy the early formation of the Nazi regime and Munich’s history you will absolutely love this tour. It was very cool to check out some of the locations which we read and hear about, i.e. where the Munich Beer Hall Putsch occurred!
Daniel, great that Sam was able to bring to life what you only see and hear about! Safe travels.
Iain was PHENOMINAL. This tour not only included visiting sites associated with key Nazi figures and events, but a great outline of the time period and context as to how such a group was able to attain power and the reactions of the German people. Even for someone who has read a lot of books on the subject, I came away learning a lot that I didn't know. This is a necessary tour for people of all ages and origins.
Glad you also think Iain is phenomenal, thanks for the great review!
The tour absolutely started on time and I appreciate that our tour guide had us take the underground to the first stop since it was the hottest day in Munich's history. The tour guide knew his stuff extremely well and was very informative. One frustration for me was that our tour guide was not German. Reading the company's replies to previous reviews now, I see that Radius tours uses native English speakers on their English tours. I am glad to know this now but I was looking forward to hearing a German take or hearing from a German on the events. I think it is something the tour company could consider with how good the English is of most Germans - that people traveling from native English speaking countries might want to hear the perspective of Germans themselves.
Thank you very much for sharing your honest feedback on this topic. This surely is something understandable, whilst our company is a English based company, we want to offer the best quality possibe for the tour and whilst we do use native english guides, all guides have had an extensive stay here for multiple years so that they can indeed give the tour like a local. This is very much valued by the vast majority of our guests! We are still very happy to hear that the quality of the tour was exceptional.
Scott was very good leader. We had deeper understanding about the third Reich and associated places. The tour helped us making our Munich trip complete and satisfying.
Thanks for taking the time to review your tour with Scott and Radius Tours.
