Recogemos viajeros de hoteles en Ciudad de Guatemala y Antigua Guatemala. El viaje desde Ciudad de Guatemala a Chichicastenango toma aproximadamente 3 horas, dependiendo del tráfico. En el camino, podemos hacer paradas para descansos en el baño, uso de cajeros automáticos, compras de bocadillos o simplemente estirar las piernas. Su comodidad es nuestra prioridad, asegurando un viaje suave y agradable a este vibrante destino.
Esta iglesia histórica, que data de 1540, es una fascinante mezcla de tradiciones católicas y mayas, mostrando un sincretismo religioso único. Para llegar a su entrada, subirás escalones llenos de vendedores que venden incienso, flores y velas, ofrendas para aquellos que vienen a orar. En el interior, el aire se llena de aromas de incienso y flores, y será testigo de oraciones que fusionan bellamente los rituales católicos con las antiguas costumbres mayas. A medida que paseamos por el mercado expansivo, encontrará coloridos textiles mayas, recuerdos hechos a mano, joyas de plata únicas en la región y accesorios artesanales. Es una fiesta sensorial de colores, artesanía y tradición, ¡una experiencia que no puedes perderte!
La ciudad cuenta con uno de los cementerios más bellos y coloridos del mundo, con lápidas vibrantes y ricamente pintadas que rodean la propiedad en un caleidoscopio de color. Si tienes suerte, verás una ceremonia maya en él.
Después de explorar Chichicastenango, tomaremos un viaje panorámico de 1 hora a Panajachel, la puerta de entrada al Lago de Atitlán. Aquí visitaremos la calle principal de la ciudad y su bullicioso muelle, donde disfrutarás de impresionantes vistas del lago y sus majestuosos volcanes. El almuerzo es por su cuenta en uno de los muchos restaurantes encantadores de Panajachel antes de regresar a la ciudad.
Al final de nuestro maravilloso recorrido, lo llevaremos de regreso de manera segura a su hotel en la ciudad. Puedes aprovechar este tiempo para relajarte o tomar una siesta si lo deseas.

I booked this tour for my husband and I for our weekend getaway. It was worth every penny. Rubin was AMAZING tour guide. He was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. It was lovely to have a tour guide who is past about what he does. The vehicle was comfortable and clean. The drive was about 3 hours but it went fast because we stopped at a wonderful restaurant for breakfast. Plan for a long day. We left at 7:00 am and didn’t return until 7:00 pm. Chichicastenango was everything we expected and more. Panajachel was beautiful. The only feedback I would give was that I wished we had more time to see Panajachel and the lake. We ate a buffet lunch at a beautiful historic hotel in Chichicastenango. We spent about an hour or so there. I would’ve preferred to skip lunch and head over to Panajachel which was an hour away. We spent 20 minutes in Panajachel which was sad because the town had a lot to offer. With that said, we still enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this tour. Thanks for the wonderful memories. This was such an amazing excursion , our guide was extremely knowledgeable and let us in on a lot of information that allowed us to understand the culture , the environment, and everything that we came across with that day!😁 He was very funny , bilingual , and interactive 😁 I would highly recommend this excursion to go to the market and to the lake ! 👏🏼👍🤩

WOW! I can not say enough great things about this tour with Carlos as driver and Ruben as guide. Ruben was full of fascinating information and so friendly and kind. The drive to the market was 2 hours but the break was nice and it went by quickly learning about Guatemala. Ruben made the trip so memorable by taking me (I was the only one on the tour) to the best stops and photo ops in Chichicastenango. The drive to the lake was beautiful and although the day was cloudy it was still a beautiful afternoon and delicious lunch. I did a few other tours in Guatemala and this was by far my favorite! This tour was amazing!! My guides, Winston and Astrid, were so nice, knowledgeable, and professional. The drivers were also fantastic. I learned so much about Guatemala and Mayan culture. I also took some great photos at Lake Atitlan and Chichicastenango. This tour is great for families, couples, and solo travelers. Awesome experience!!!
