Tour 1 (8 horas): Pan de Azúcar, Corcovado, Viejo Centro de Lapa y Santa Teresa

We chimed with Claudio. Initially I was a little nervous about spending a whole day with a stranger, but Claudio contacted us when we made the booking, the day before the booking and was in touch on the morning of the booking. He REALLY knows Rio and is generous in sharing his knowledge. We discovered places and facts we wouldn’t have even thought to have looked for in the city. I’m not going to give spoilers. The pace was excellent, the photos we took will be memories for ever. This was my second time in Rio and Claudio’s love of place has really rubbed off on me. I can’t wait to go again next year. Claudio what else can you show us?!

Claudio is an incredible tour guide. He knows everything about the city, the history, the architecture, the nature. He’s very easy to understand in English and Portuguese, and is warm and friendly. We’ve used him 3 times now and would recommend him to anyone who wants a very safe, efficient way to see all the important sites in Rio!

3 years after our last tour with Claudio we had the joy of coming back and revisiting these wonderful landmarks of Rio with the whole family! Claudio continued to be a dream tour guide, ushering us through a fabulous, variety filled day in his beautiful city! We also enjoyed a bonus day in Petrópolis the next day which was a highlight of our trip! Claudio set up the day perfectly complete with a pao de queijo scenic stop on our way up the mountain, to a great tour of the palace, to the perfect lunch spot and more! He was very patient with my eager photographer husband and answered every question with enthusiasm!! We are so grateful for the time we spent with him!

We waited for pur guide for over an hour with a no show. At the pier waiting for him was very frustrating.

Super guide we would recommend too all. On time, calm, very helpful professional nice and efficient. Has made a mixed of different tours over 2 days perfect to see the best. Very attentive to your ideas and choice. We learnt a lot from Claudio. His driver is also perfect. Everything is perfectly organised. Very happy to have found him.

We came to Rio for the first time to celebrate the New Year's Eve, and had the pleasure of meeting Claudio. We were impressed with his deep knowledge of all things Rio and Brasil. He speaks many languages (English, français, español, and português). He showed us the Sugar Loaf, the Cristo statue, the downtown area, Copacabana, and Ipanema--and more!! He has been doing this a while, and is a welcoming and warm person. It was a pleasure to spend time with him. He knows EVERYTHING about Rio--the 'it' places to go, the best restaurants, the history and more. We were so happy with our tour, that we booked two additional days with him so we could be immersed in the culture. One day we went to Petropolis to see the Imperial Palace, and he arranged everything for us!! Another day he took us to several beaches--it was so much fun and we got a tan too!!, It was so easy, because without him we would not have had such a great experience. He opens the cultural door to Rio and Brazil! If you are reading this, ***DONT WAIT!!!*** Book a tour with Claudio and you will be incredibly happy you did. His rates are competitive and you get so much more than expected--we tipped him an extra US$50 per day because we had such an amazing time. We will definitely come back to Rio de Janeiro again because of Claudio. He made our holiday the best that we have ever had, hand-down. We enjoyed a full day tour of Rio which included Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf. Both were really crowded but organized in terms of crowd control. Fortunately the weather was good so it wasn't bad standing in line and people-watching on the way up to both. The length of time spent at the actual site/top was minimal compared to the wait time but the views provided were great.

We had 2 days with Claudio as a guide. His first day was challenging because it was raining relentlessly and fat too cloudy to see Christ the Redeemer or Sugar Loaf Mountain. He compensated brilliantly by showing us parts of the city that we might otherwise have missed. This included the stunning Cathedral that is designed to look like a Mayan Pyramid but contains some of the mot beautiful stained glass windows I have ever seen. We also saw the Portuguese library and of course the Maracanã Stadium tour! Cludio looked after us throughout, kept us informed about every detail of where we were and made sure that we benefitted from any perks that were available! On day 2 the sun came out and were able to do Sugar Loaf, although the Christ the Redeemer had to wait... A brilliant guide who I would always use if revisiting the city.

Very interesting tour and well organised. Claudio is a sophisticated guide, very cultivated, who also shares many good adresses.

We spent 2 wonderful days with Claudio who introduced us to the city of Rio. Numerous explanations in French, discovery of magnificent places and very good advice to avoid waiting for busy sites (Corcovado etc.). The whole family loved it !
