Veremos la vista desde la 8a planta del Centro de Información Turística Cultural de Asakusa:)
Entraremos al centro del área de Asakusa por la puerta principal del templo Sensoji, la puerta Kaminarimon, que es el ícono de Asakusa.
Después de caminar hacia la zona central de Asakusa, echaremos un vistazo a uno de los encantadores templos de Asakusa, Bentendo, que tiene la deidad del arte y la prosperidad.
Junto al templo Bentendo, se encuentra la Campana del Tiempo, que el monje del templo Senso-ji tocaba regularmente para que la gente supiera la hora durante el período Edo (del siglo XVI al XVIII).
Hay un lugar agradable y tranquilo que tiene 2 estatuas de bronce y 4 estatuas de piedra de deidades budistas construidas en el siglo XVII.
A la derecha de la sala principal del templo Sensoji, se encuentra uno de los bienes culturales nacionales de Japón, la Puerta Nitenmon. Esta puerta fue utilizada como puerta del Shogun, lo que significa que solo al general se le permitía pasar durante el Período Edo.
Después de echar un vistazo a la Puerta Nitenmon, veremos el Santuario Asakusa que tiene 3 deidades que están estrechamente relacionadas con el origen del Templo Sensoji. También hay un garaje para tres grandes santuarios portátiles que llevan los lugareños en el Festival Sanja en mayo.

Frente al templo, hay otra puerta llamada Puerta Hozomon que tiene un par de estatuas de guardianes.

When I was in Tokyo in October 2025, I had the opportunity to take a private Karate class with Ryo, so I was excited to see him again - this time as my Asakusa guide. Although I had been to Sensoji Temple before, Ryo pointed out things only a native would know. We had our fortune read, and even purified ourselves with the smoke from the burning incense. If you are interested in an introduction to Asakusa before visiting the alleys of shops near the temple, join Ryo for his tour. He is also a comedian, so he may crack a joke or two!
