We really enjoyed our sushi making class. Our host Shae was very fun and knowledgeable. She spoke English well and gave us good tips for making several fancy versions of sushi that I will try at home. Thanks for the cool short intro class to sushi making!
We felt so terrible going in because we were a few minutes late gaffer getting super lost! (Absolutely my fault, I have a terrible sense of direction and it was our first day in Japan!) The employee was so nice. We weee able to get in contact with them and find our way, we actually ran into our intro for on the elevator because she was coming down to rescue us! We were so lucky because we ended up being the only people in our class for that time slot, so we didn’t have anyone else waiting in us. The class was very fun, we got to learn a lot about sushi, and the instructions are so clear I feel our sushi ended up very cute! It was very tasty, and the instructor was very nice and we got to talk a lot being the only people in the class.
Very personal sushi making class perfect for family with kids. It was hard to find the class (third floor restaurant unmarked at street level), but once there it was great - rolls, nagiri, and discussion of Sushi in Japan
We made two types of sushi which she had prepared the rice and fish already for it. We did not make any sauce or any more complicated versions. So if you are looking to learn it from scratch, this would be different. The location was well described to find but the room was stinky. While we made our sushi pieces, she watched on her phone while we did it. In total the class lasted around 1 hour and then you could stay and eat your sushi.
Shea was excellent! She is an amazing teacher!!

Great experience making sushi the trivia was really fun to do and also great experience making sushi
We had a lovely time at the sushi making class. Travelled with two kids. The hosts were very friendly and patient. We loved learning how to make the sushi and enjoyed eating it with fellow travellers.
I had such a wonderful time in Kaku’s class today! We learned how to make maki and temari sushi, and she was so thorough and engaging in her explanations—it made the whole experience so enjoyable. The class was very hands-on, with beautifully prepared ingredients, and Kaku made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident throughout. The sushi turned out both delicious and picture-perfect! The cozy space and small group setting also made it easy to ask questions and connect with others. Highly recommend this experience!
Such a fun class! Kaku does an informative and hands-on workshop! The directions to the restaurant are accurate; just locat the Family Mart and take the elevator to the right on the 3rd floor. It lets you off directly into the restaurant/workshop. We performed the maki & temari class - after a quick background of sushi, we jumped right into becoming sushi masters. Everything is provided, just need to show up willing to learn and hungry. All in all, the experience took about an hour and half - definitely a great addition to any itinerary!
