John was the best host! So much fun. Me and my friends couldn’t stop laughing. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to have fun. More of a show than an authentic experience but we learned a lot about sumo wrestling and got to see some pretty cool moves.
Sean was fantastic! We had a great time he was so knowledgeable and entertaining!!!
The MC, John, is great. It's fun to learn about sumo culture and the wrestlers were nice and funny but this is very overpriced for what it is. There are other options that include dinner for the same price for example, so definitely don't use viator for this. They also need to give more options for the audience participation part, especially for kids. No one needs to watch a 40 year old woman doing it while there are 4 kids crying that didn't get a chance.
This was an experience! I’m not sure sumo is our thing, but it was fun to see it in action for the first time and learn a little bit about it. This was not a real competition. I think my husband felt it was a little bit too touristy, but to me, it was exactly what it billed itself to be, so I’m giving it five stars. They delivered a fun, entertaining experience that introduced us to a sport of which we were previously uninformed.
It was a great experience to learn more about the culture in the background of sumo wrestling. We really enjoyed it.
Experience was worth the money. Our host was knowledgeable and entertaining. The Sumo wrestlers did a great job engaging the audience.
The whole experience was amazing! Joe was a great MC. Can’t recommend this enough. My husband got to sumo against both!
This sumo event was very good & educational, Dai (the announcer) took time to explain each part of the process so we understood the meaning of all the foundational basics. The announcer (Dai) was great and the wrestlers had really good comedic timing during the Q & A time. We could ask the wrestlers anything about their life etc. so they had a little fun with it. There was a lottery to get a chance to wrestle the sumo guys and that was fun to see at the very end. Just to let you know, you will need to remove your shoes.
It’s a very informative yet fun experience. We learned a lot about sumo wrestling and its history. The 90 minutes sped by, with the chance to volunteer at the end. I did this and couldn’t believe how strong the guys are.
Fantastic fun experience and my son got to wear the sumo blow up suit and also wrestle with them
