Excellent tour through Kilkenny and Joe was great at showing us all the historic spots as well as letting us know of future plans for the area and museum. We were the only ones in our group so that helped keep it flowing and able to ask questions about are interest in the history. Would recommend when visiting!

We have visited the Medieval Mile Museum each September since its opening with 4th year BSc honours architectural technology students from SETU Carlow campus . The museum and the guided tour is fantastic . The museum is a world class example of an architectural conservation and adaption project. The guided tours with John and Joe explain Kilkenny’s development and history . I would highly recommend a visit to a beautiful place in a beautiful historic city.. Kilkenny has a fascinating history, and this is a great way to get a short intro to it. Just one hour, in a spectacular medieval church/museum, with expertly told stories that weave you into the great history.

This was a wonderful guided tour of the town of Kilkenny. Our guide was a fantastic historian and took us through a 90 minute walk through town. We learned a lot and really enjoyed listening to him. This is well worth the time!

Wow! I think our guides name was ?Grace? She was amazing! Such a wealth of information! And she managed to keep all the stories interesting. We were so glad that we chose the guided tour!!

John was an exceptional guide. Deep knowledge, enjoyable, wonderful stories. He made the history come alive.

I was fortunate to be the only person to show up for my time slot so I got a private tour of the history of Kilkenny. James was a wonderful guide. It was a lovely educational walk around town. A definite must in Kilkenny.

John did our 1.5-hr. tour, and it was spectacular! We learned so much about the medieval past of Kilkenny, as well as good tips about it today. First witch in Europe was burned at the stake there! -And this was just one of John's detailed stories--the town's religious leaders, its merchants, society, the living and the dead--he knows it all: not a boring minute! The Museum itself is full of great artifacts. Don't miss this tour! It made an interesting town fascinating and fun.

We had a great tour of the medieval mile museum. It was a great way to learn about the deep history of Kilkenny, which is still being discovered! The museum is beautiful and the artifacts inside are so fascinating. We showed up late to our tour and were still accommodated with kindness and just as much effort as if we were on time!
