Good fun

this experience was so good, so basicly me my mom my aunt and my 2 cousins went to London, so originally my aunt and my cousin booked in but then all of us went my cousin was scared about going in it took us about an hour to convince her there was a sensory guide on the website too which is good cus both of us are autistic so we got to the place and my cousin was still sad but then a worker apeared and told my cousin that he went through it was he last day and it was fine and that she could leave at any point so we went in and booked it and it was SO GOOD like so some highlights are . the cage my mom got put into (random plague doctor appeared behind her ) . Jack the Ripper where you had to sit at a table me my mom and my cousin sat at a table beside the door (the actor appeared right beside us in the dark ) .when my ma held a random Chinese man’s hand (it was funny ) . and everything else was good 😌 so ye should book this cus it’s not to scary 😦 and it’s fun. anyway if you were a guy who started working in the ld at about July 2025 who met a family before booking THANKS SO MUCH

Great fun way to spend an hour and a half

Amazing actors who really got into character. We learnt a lot about the gory history of London. Might not be suitable for very young children. Highly recommended.

Very good!

A really fun experience! The actors had a really good experience so it didn’t feel ”theatre-y”

Great fun

Great fun and very entertaining, maybe not for those of nervous disposition. There were young children in there and they seemed to enjoy it.

Brilliant experience – better than Edinburgh and a great mix of humour and scares

We visited The London Dungeon using Merlin Annual Passes and overall I would give it a very easy 5 out of 5. Booking with the Merlin Pass was simple. You select a timed slot in advance and arrive shortly before your allocated entry time. My only real criticism was the organisation outside when we arrived. A large school group had been waiting nearby while we joined the normal queue. The school groups were then brought in ahead of us without much explanation and it all became a little chaotic. My main concern was potentially ending up in the same experience group as a very large and excited school party, as I think that could completely change the atmosphere for other visitors. That said, the staff were extremely friendly throughout, and I would imagine if you asked to move to another group they would try to accommodate you. Before entering the attraction you go through airport-style security, including metal detectors and bag checks. Once inside, the experience properly begins. I don't want to spoil any of the scenes because a big part of the enjoyment is not knowing what is coming next, but having previously visited Edinburgh Dungeon, we thought London was considerably better. There is a really good mixture of humour, storytelling and scares. I would probably describe it as more fun than genuinely frightening, although there are definitely moments designed to make you jump or feel uncomfortable. Audience participation is also a big part of the experience. I was picked out myself, so you do need to be prepared for a little bit of embarrassment or humiliation if the actors choose you. It is all done in good humour though. They manage to make you feel slightly uneasy without ever taking it so far that you feel genuinely uncomfortable or unsafe. The actors were excellent. They stayed completely in character, involved the audience really well and were a huge part of what made the attraction enjoyable. The venue itself was clean and the sets, lighting and atmosphere were exactly what you would want from this type of attraction. One important tip is to use the toilet before you start. Once you enter the actual Dungeon experience, you are effectively committed to the full route, which took us just over an hour. I can't really comment on the normal admission price as we visited using Merlin Passes, but with the passes we thought it was fantastic value and absolutely worth doing. Given its central London location, I can imagine it becoming extremely busy during school holidays and peak tourist periods, so I would definitely book ahead and choose your time carefully. Overall, this was a brilliant experience. Excellent actors, great sets, plenty of laughs, some decent scares and a much bigger and better experience than we had expected. One of the best Merlin attractions we have visited and somewhere we would happily return to.

Highlight of my trip

Highlight of my London trip !! Was with an amazing group the whole way round and was the perfect mix of scary and funny!! Definitely value for money especially if you buy the Merlin attractions bundle. Was a great length of time, I could’ve carried on but for an overall time it was perfect. The sizing of the groups was great as you didn’t feel as though you were stranded or that you were squished in. Staff were all lovely and very interactive and you could tell they loved what they do. I think this is best for any history or horror fans really !! There were children in there so if your children aren’t frightened easily they would love it. Overall great experience and would do again x

It was a fantastic...

It was a fantastic experience that I compare to a trip to universal studios Halloween horror nights, level of commitment to the acting and fun of the skits throughout.

London Dungeon

Not suitable for younger children. Some parts could be scary for some adults even, but very enjoyable and worth the cost.

Just uncomfortable, annoying, rather then scary

It is really uncomfortable in every aspect, rather than being scared. Sorry, but just had a very unpleasant, not funn, not scary experience.

Respuesta del operador

The Torturer seems a little disappointed his methods failed to have the desired effect. Though he understands that the Dungeon’s brand of immersive discomfort isn’t for everyone 💀 Please contact LDguestexperience@merlinentertainments.biz to let us know how we can improve.
