Una oportunidad única y trasera para reconectar y reunirse con su cultura, raíces y línea de sangre. Recibirá un nombre africano tradicional, y disfrutará de una vida de pueblo como la fabricación de cerámica de arcilla, y en una representación cultural tradicional que se mostrará para darle la bienvenida a la comunidad. Esta experiencia está reservada exclusivamente a los descendientes, ya que es una peregrinación sagrada centrada en la curación y la reconexión. Los no descendientes solo pueden unirse si son cónyuges o miembros de la familia negra de un participante. Es un viaje estimulante de energía que le permite presenciar cómo los africanos vivieron una vez como reyes y reinas en sus tierras natales antes de que fueran robados a las mazmorras de la Costa del Cabo y llevados al "Nuevo Mundo". Le aconsejamos que lleve un poco de dinero en efectivo con usted, ya que es posible que desee comprar algunas de las hermosas cuentas africanas como regalos a casa, y también un poco de donación para apoyar y mejorar lo que hacen! Itinerario
8:00 a. m. Salida desde Accra Hotel/Residence hacia el Village en un vehículo con aire acondicionado. Llegue alrededor de las 10 am. Primero haremos una visita de cortesía a los jefes y líderes tradicionales de la comunidad donde seremos recibidos con tambores y bailes y se nos darán los nombres tradicionales africanos.
Luego conduciremos hasta el impresionante lago Volta y disfrutaremos de un fantástico almuerzo en un restaurante frente al lago. El lago Volta es el lago artificial más grande de África y el segundo más grande del mundo.
Shai Hills es la reserva de parque nacional de caza más cercana en Accra, donde podemos ver algunos babuinos mientras conducimos. Podemos pasar por la oportunidad de tomar fotos y continuar nuestro viaje de regreso a Accra

Our tour guide Toufic was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the history of Ghana, the culture, and the community called Torgome. Where our Naming ceremony was held, with the tribe, Ewes located in the Volta Region knew Toufic well. Toufic called ahead to inform the tribe of our arrival time which made the welcome of our presence so exciting. Lastly, Toufic took us to the Volta lake, explaining it was the 2nd largest man made lake which was very beautiful and to enjoy lunch at the amazing Restaurant called Afrikiko, put the cherry on top of everything. Overall, an amazing experience and great atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon and hope our tour guide will again be with Toufic. Happy 50th birthday to ME! Toufic is the best tour guide that Ghana has to offer. Not only does he have an amazing personality but his astute observations help you to better understand the culture. It was the highlight of my trip to have the naming ceremony after visiting Slave River and Elmina Castle. The entire community are so welcoming upon your arrival. Please be prepared to give a gift to the Chief after the ceremony. I didn’t know what give before getting on my flight so I gave some cedis. Lunch was great and the view of Lake Volta was stunning. I’d recommend this to any descendant looking to learn about the traditions of your ancestors. It truly was a highlight for my trip. Request Toufic after you book.

From the moment our guide, Kobe, picked us up, we felt like family. His energy was like we knew each other since birth and he spoke to us from a place of love and protection. He is very knowledgeable about our past and present while remaining hopeful for what the future brings to Ghana. When we arrived in the Volta Region, the children greeted us like little cousins who haven't seen us in so long! The elders embraced us with a true "welcome back home, we miss you" energy. We walked through the village and greeted our neighbors. Walked to the clear river and took in the beauty of the area. Then walked back to dance and laugh and hug our people. The naming ritual was spiritual and authentic to the Region. The names chosen by the elders fit each of us PERFECTLY!!! The blessings received were given in abundance and I am forever grateful for this experience.
