Itinerario
Comenzamos nuestro viaje con una degustación de chorreadas, una tradicional tortilla de maíz "vertida" costarricense servida recién salida de un vendedor ambulante. Es la introducción perfecta a los sabores de la región.
Nuestra siguiente parada incluye la icónica caldosa, una mezcla única de chips de maíz crujientes cubiertos con ceviche costarricense. ¡Este clásico plato callejero es imprescindible!
Disfruta de la belleza de Jacó mientras caminamos por la playa, maravillados con los vibrantes murales y el arte público de la zona. Esta parada nos permite absorber el paisaje natural y cultural.
Los jueves, visitaremos el mercado de agricultores locales, donde podrá explorar productos frescos, productos artesanales y el vibrante ambiente de la vida comunitaria de Jacó.
Después del paseo nos detendremos en otro vendedor para disfrutar de un chiliguaro, un ardiente chupito costarricense hecho con sol de luna local, chile y Tabasco.
Relájese en un encantador restaurante frente al mar de propiedad local. Aquí saborearemos bebidas refrescantes y platos de mariscos elaborados con la mejor captura local.
Para aquellos que no puedan tomar suficiente de esta audaz bebida costarricense, haremos una segunda parada para darle un giro diferente al chileguaro.
En un bar local favorito, tomaremos una Michelada clásica, una bebida refrescante a base de cerveza, y disfrutaremos de un abundante chifrijo, una sabrosa mezcla de chicharrones y frijoles.
Terminamos con una nota dulce con una visita a un querido vendedor de postres para Churchill, un dulce helado costarricense con capas de leche condensada, hielo raspado y coberturas de frutas.
A lo largo del recorrido, compartiré información sobre la geografía, historia, cultura y arte de Jacó, así como anécdotas personales e historias sobre el pueblo. A lo largo de la ruta, destacaré el arte público, edificios importantes, restaurantes auténticos y las mejores tiendas de regalos para recuerdos únicos y elaborados localmente.

Great tour to good food spots I probably wouldn’t have gone on my own. It inadvertently ended up being a private tour, and Josue was great at telling me not only more about Jack but Costa Rica in general. Despite it being just the two of us, I had a great time and learned a lot. Would recommend for solo travelers and groups alike.
Josue was great and very knowledgeable of the history and foods. Took us on a great tour with great food! Definitely recommend doing at the beginning of your trip so you know all the good places. 10/10
I had an amazing experience on this food tour with Josué! The food, drinks, and desserts were all fantastic - every stop was a treat. What really set this tour apart was the historical perspective Josué wove into the experience. Learning the stories behind the food and the culture made every bite more meaningful. We had a wonderful time on the Costa Rica food tour with Josue. He went above and beyond with showing us some of the best food spots in Jaco but also with being extremely knowledgeable about the culture, history, animals, and any questions we had about the country in general. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting town. The only regrettable part was that we did this tour on our last day and he gave so many local food recommendations that we will have to save for next trip!
Let me start off by saying my tour guide Josue was the best. He was very pleasant, funny and knowledgable. He convinced me to drink beer which I hate! He was delightful and easy to talk to. He told me about the many murals that are painted around town including the one of the direct descendant of Pastor Diaz. The tour itself is ideal especially if you're open to trying new foods. I had caldosas at Picarita's, patacones, which are DELICIOUS (can't remember the name of the place) and beer randon at Amudio's and a Winston Churchill! This is a walking tour so be advised if you have any conditions.

I had a really great time on the Jacó Food Tour with Josue. He was on time, super knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. You can tell he knows the area really well, and I learned a lot about Jacó while trying some really good local food. I liked that it wasn’t just about the food, it was also a walking tour around downtown. He pointed out different places around town, shared local recommendations, and we even stopped in a souvenir shop, which was a nice little addition. We also ended the tour with dessert, which I wasn’t expecting and thought was a fun surprise. The whole experience felt like a great value for the price. There was plenty of food, and I left feeling like I got to experience much more of Jacó than I would have if I had explored on my own. I was traveling solo from the U.S. and I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Josue was friendly, laid-back, professional, and made the tour feel really easy and enjoyable. I had such a wonderful with the guide Josue. He is very knowledgeable of local Jaco history, culture and the food. I learned so much about the cuisine and history while i was on this food tour with Josue. The foods are so tasty as well! I won’t be able to discovery those dishes on my own if it’s not for Josue. Josue is very friendly and approachable. I can tell he really enjoys touring and guiding people and teaching Jaco history. The portion of the food/drinks are perfect. Highly recommend this if you are in Jaco. Come hungry!
