They were SO INCREDIBLY nice. It was my first time kayaking. We rented a double and an x-large for my son. We rented activities from a couple local places. Hands down they were the nicest. The kids that worked there were just awesome and the gentleman was too. This was a really great experience for me and memories our family will always remember!

The Sit on top kayaks were as expected. Two ot of three were set up properly and local waters instructions given. The third kayak High back was in bad condition as the high back was crushed down & permanently distorted. Providing no support. In addition the paddle was too short and not fitted. The personal at launch failed to check and ask about these items. I could not correct the seat on the water due to the distortion and upon return the staff member was aloof to correction for future renters. In summary look check and ask to avoid the occasional problem.
I’m so sorry this happened. I wish you would have stopped by the shack to speak with me or my husband about it. We were both on site when you paddled. I’m happy to provide a gift certificate for the future. Please note: We are the only local company who provide these very expensive ergonomic high back seats. They cost about $300 per tandem kayak. We feel it’s important to provide these for people with bad backs or weak cores. Sometimes we have very large people who do not have core strength to sit up and they lean back on the seats with all their weight. Even these extra strong seats can buckle under so much weight. Perhaps the paddler before you caused this to happen. We never want to discourage larger people from getting on the water to enjoy the outdoors and getting some exercise, even if it means they damage a seat by leaning back with all their weight. We had a wonderful time on the bay with 3 rented tandem Kayaks from Delmarva. Very friendly and informative staff! Had a great experience renting from them and would definitely use their services again! Would highly recommend.
