Lena was the most amazing guide! She was knowledgeable, articulate, funny. We loved her engaging storytelling style and the way she made historic events come alive! It was like we were hanging out with an old friend.
One of our favorite things to do in any city we visit is take a ghost tour, and the Tallinn Ghost and Legends walking tour did not disappoint! The tour operator, Janne, contacted us through Viator to ask what time worked best for us to take the tour. We agreed on 1700. Our tour guide, Liisi, met us in the lobby of our Old Town hotel and led us all over the cobblestone streets of Tallinn. She spoke English very well, and she did an outstanding job of telling the history and ghost legends of Tallinn's many medieval sites. Dress warm and wear comfortable shoes, because it's cold, windy, and icy in Tallinn in February.
They've cancelled the tour only 2,5 hours before the start time. We were already on our way there, paid for the train tickets, gave up other plans, and as a result, lost money, time, and a chance to book some other tour, as it was already too late. Seriously, if you want to cancel, cancel at least 12 hours in advance, but not 2,5 hours, when some people might be already on their way! Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. So, my advice: if you don't want to find yourself in a similar situation, don't deal with them, and find a more trustworthy tours organizer.
Hi This indeed happened. Sadly the guide who was signed up for the tour had a call from home and due to a family emergency asked if he could not do it. We did our best to find someone quick to cover, but as it was low season and most of our guides have also second full-time jobs (still under the influence of what has happened in the world and tourism has not recovered fully) we were forced to cancel. I would have never wanted to cancel the tour but in this case, on a personal level, we really had to as it was a very personal family matter. I am truly sorry about it and it would have been our absolute pleasure to offer you a tour! Deep apologies Marii
Fantastic ghost tour. Our guide was very lively and informative. We learnt a lot about the town and also a plenty of ghost stories. Our 2 kids 16 & 11 loved it also even though it was snowing and freezing for the whole 90 minutes. Brilliant!
The guide is an excellent storyteller, and knows how to immerse her audience in the mysterious atmosphere of Tallinn. Recommended!
Me and my children had an excellent time walking around in the old town listening to some really great ghost stories and tales. The guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks!
Great stories. She did a good job relating the stories to the various nationalities in the group of tourists.
We were lead around Tallinn upper and lower town, being told tales of old and more recent history and legends. A really fun time.
Me and my two friends enjoyed The ghosts and legends of Tallin tour very much. It was a fun introduction to Tallin's peculiar history and strange stories. Our guide Mirjam was excellent and she spoke clear English, she is a great storyteller. Personally I would have liked to hear a few more spooky ghost stories - like actual sightings, haunted houses etc. But this was entertaining combo as well. Would definitely recommend this tour for other travellers!
Awesome quide and brilliant stories, we loved it! The quide was definetly a proffesional. 1,5 hours flyed away really quickly.
