What an incredible way to spend time in Rome. Alex was fantastic as an instructor, giving both the history and art of mosaic making. He is also very funny. We had the best time creating our own art, and he was very helpful in setting it up and encouraging us to do the work ourselves. We did this early into our trips, and it also helped us look for and appreciate the mosaics we saw on our visits. Took home a wonderful memory!
This is a really fun non-typical thing to do in Rome. We ended up showing up a different time than what we had booked to ask if they could make room for us and they did which was wonderful. The class was really fun and the instructors were great! Highly recommend doing this. 😁
Really nice Ancient Tile mosaic class! We had a great time, met wonderful people, and came home with a hand-made souvenir.
A fantastic experience, me and my adult daughter attended this workshop together and we absolutely loved it. Giulia, Alex and Leonora were very friendly, helpful and so patient. The class was so much fun, we each got to make our own mosaic which we got to keep and bring home at the end of the class. The group size was small which was good. The studio was lovely, filled with the wonderful mosaics, and air-conditioned too. Would 100% recommend the workshop!!
Our family of 4 including two teenage boys (age 15 and 17) attended the mosaic class in Rome and had a fantastic time! The instructors, Alex and Julia were the BEST! They were very experienced and knowledgeable, but also fun! We left with our own mosaics as a souvenir to always cherish. I highly recommend this experience if you are in Rome on vacation.
Great learning about different Mosaic techniques with Alex and Julia, as well as a hands on experience making my own unique mosaic. I have a new appreciation for the amazing mosaics that I see throughout my travels.
This was a fantastic afternoon! We learned about different mosaic techniques, micro mosaic, and stone, glass, and gold/metallic materials. Then we tried our hand with expert help to guide us. An informative and fun experience that provides insight into a classic Roman art form.
We had a wonderful time. Julia was a great host and instructor. We enjoyed learning a little about mosaic history and making our own. Thanks!
What a fun way to spend an afternoon. Julia was an excellent teacher: very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. We had lots of options for designs and plenty of time to create our own. The following day we visited the Baths of Caracalla, and we definitely had a much greater appreciation for all the mosaics on display there!
I learned a lot about the ancient art of mosaics! The teacher was so patient and helpful as I was certainly the remedial student in our group of four. She offered assistance without making me feel incompetent which I greatly appreciated! The other talented mosaic artists in the shop also shared their perspectives and love of the art. Did you know creating mosaics is beneficial and comforting for those who on a grief journey. I have a lovely piece of Roman art work to hang in my home.
