Super nice workshop : warm welcome, detailed and interesting explanations, beautiful origami lamp as the end result ! Special thanks to Kami-chan Cat for the support
Thank you very much for your wonderful review. (And I’m sorry for my late reply...) I hope you will light your lamp at home and share your memories of Japan with your family and friends. My mascot cat and I are looking forward to seeing you again someday! 🐾✨
This was truly one of the best activities I did while in Tokyo. If you enjoy making crafts then this will be the perfect activity. It was relaxing, enjoyable and I felt so happy and proud creating a gift, souvenir, and memory. The instruction was funny, patient, passionate about her craft and such a pleasure to have spent time with during my stay. I would definitely recommend this to young and old and would definitely go back to do it again!!
Thank you so much for sending your review. It really encourages me in my future work. I’m sure the small lamp you made will bring comfort and relaxation to your heart. I truly look forward to welcoming you again next time for the washi-dyeing workshop.
Such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon, out of the heat and getting hands on! Project materials were well prepared ahead of time and all instructions were clear, making it a seamless experience putting together the two crafts.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It really encourages us in our future activities. Also, thank you so much for joining the workshop despite the very hot weather. How did you like the origami lantern you made? We would be delighted if you light it up at home and remember your time in Japan and the workshop. Please continue tying Mizuhiki knots and creating many more beautiful pieces. Our mascot cat and I are truly looking forward to seeing you again someday.
Excellent experience if you have a couple of hours in Ueno/Asakusa area. You can make a beautiful mini lantern that well-thought-out for travelers (easy to take it home!) and learn Mizuhiki craft. Kozo tea and a sweet are good, too. Highly recommend for people who want to step away from tourists packed streets, learn little Japanese crafts, and good conversation over refreshing tea.
Thank you so much for sending your review. It truly encourages us in our future activities. How do you feel about the lantern you made? We’d be delighted if you light it up in your room in the evening and remember the workshop. Please continue creating more works with Mizuhiki knotting as well! Our mascot cat and I are sincerely looking forward to welcoming you again.
This experience was so much fun! Ms Shinoda guided us through making an origami lamp and a mizuhiki belt for the lamp and they turned out so beautifully. Her "paper tea" and snacks were delicious, too. I can't wait to visit again!
Thank you for your review that makes me happy. It makes me confident. We hope you will join us next time for a workshop to actually make washi paper(Japanese paper). Me and my mascot cat "KAMI" look forward to seeing you again.
We had a really wonderful time learning about paper-making, origami, and mizuhiki! Over the course of an hour or two, we were able to produce a beautiful origami lamp that we will treasure for years to come. Kaho Shinoda was patient, kind, and impressively talented teacher and artist. I would absolutely recommend any workshop offered by Washi Labo Tokyo. I fully intend to see what workshops we could take the next time we are in Tokyo.
Thank you for your review that makes me happy. It makes me confident. All of your creations were wonderful. I hope you will continue to be interested in washi paper and mizuhiki. I look forward to seeing you again! Washi labo TOKYO
