Guiado por el trabajador de la piel local, crearás tu propia cartera, un artículo práctico y personal que puedes llevarte a casa. Pero antes de que tus manos se pongan manos a la obra, tendrás una visión de las raíces profundas de este antiguo oficio. En la Edad Media, el cuero se utilizaba para objetos cotidianos como bolsas de monedas, delantales de trabajo, fundas de espada e incluso carteras. Aprenderás cómo se curtió el cuero y sus propiedades únicas, lo que lo hace adecuado para todo, desde ropa suave hasta armaduras rígidas. Con el apoyo de su guía, seleccionará su cuero, trazará y cortará el patrón, perforará los agujeros de costura y lentamente dará vida a su cartera con herramientas manuales. I had such a wonderful experience at this leather wallet making class in Verona! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. I had the pleasure of meeting both the owner and another employee — they were incredibly kind, patient, and passionate about their craft, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The owner took me through all the steps of picking the leather, cutting it out, placing the snaps, and embossing the logo on the wallet. It was inspiring to see how much care goes into each piece. The store is attached to the workshop had beautifully designed bags and accessories. It was hard not to fall in love with several of them! Another of the things I really appreciated was their commitment to sustainability. They make a conscious effort to use every piece of leather, minimizing waste and honoring the material as much as possible. Supporting this local leather shop felt meaningful, and I would absolutely recommend the class to anyone visiting Verona — whether you're interested in craftsmanship or just looking for a unique and memorable experience.
