Después del castillo de Visegrád, entra en la reserva de la biosfera de Pilis, donde arroyos, cascadas y lagos de trucha crean un entorno tranquilo, y prueba la trucha local o la caza en un acogedor restaurante del bosque. Szentendre es una ciudad histórica con calles empedradas, arquitectura barroca y una animada escena artística. Asentado por diversos pueblos a lo largo de los siglos, se convirtió en un importante centro para los refugiados serbios en el siglo XVII, que dejaron atrás un patrimonio ortodoxo distintivo. Hoy en día, sus museos, galerías y el paseo marítimo del río Danubio lo convierten en un destino favorito para los visitantes interesados en la cultura y la historia.
El castillo de Visegrád en Hungría es el sueño de un aficionado a la historia y amante de la naturaleza. Combinando una impresionante ciudadela del siglo XIII con impresionantes vistas del Danubio, esta parada es una gran oportunidad para explorar el pasado real de Hungría y tomar increíbles fotos de la curva del Danubio. La Basílica de Esztergom, que se eleva sobre Esztergom, Hungría, es un espectáculo. Construido en el sitio de iglesias anteriores que datan del rey Esteban I, es la sede de la Iglesia católica en Hungría y ofrece impresionantes vistas y una profunda conexión con la historia húngara. El castillo de Esztergom, junto a la basílica, fue la residencia real y el centro político y religioso de Hungría desde el reinado de San Esteban hasta mediados del siglo XIII.
Desde Esztergom, cruzaremos brevemente a Eslovaquia para disfrutar de unas vistas perfectas de la basílica y el casco antiguo de la ciudad.
Para aquellos interesados, el Museo del Mazapán de Szentendre muestra el arte de esta dulce artesanía, con esculturas de tamaño natural de Lady Diana, Michael Jackson y muchas otras figuras de la historia, los dibujos animados y la naturaleza. Vea a los maestros confiteros trabajar mientras dan forma a los dulces en arte comestible, haciendo que la visita sea divertida y educativa, y por supuesto sabrosa.
Visegrado tiene una joya oculta: la Reserva de la Biosfera de Pilis, un parque nacional dentro del parque nacional. Es una región pintoresca caracterizada por su vegetación única, arroyos serpenteantes, cascadas en cascada y lagos serenos repletos de truchas. Nos encontraremos en la entrada de su hotel o alojamiento a la hora acordada de recogida. La hora estándar de inicio es 9 : 00 AM, pero esto se puede ajustar a su preferencia. La hora exacta de recogida (dentro de la ventana de 8:30-10:00 AM) se confirmará el día antes del tour.

We booked our Danube bend day trip from Budapest with Tamas during the historical heat wave, with temperatures over 100 degrees F. Despite the heat, tamas picked us up from our hotel and gave us a wonderful day trip, with a slower pace. He was very patient with my 3 yr old toddler (and even bought a new car seat to accommodate her age and size) and grandparents we were traveling with. At the end of the day, my daughter was commenting how nice and kind he was. He provided us with great local snacks and drinks all day (kept ice cold in his fridge cooler). He always made sure to start the car ac ahead of time to keep us comfortable. He explained so much Hungarian history because we were interested and toured us around the sites so we could do the highlights efficiently. We got to see so much in a day and he never made us feel rushed at all. We loved his story telling and his kindness. The price seemed steep but in the end I’m glad we felt we got our money’s worth even during the heat wave.

Tamas, our guide was very kind he brought snacks and beverages we never got hungry. He even allowed us to take photos in a sunflower field which is not part of the tour😅The tour went smoothly and we covered every key point in the tour. Tamas was like my history teacher, important eras in Europe history from Atilla Hun to the Romans, kings and queens, betrayals, buried treasures, Dracula and whatnot were discussed Tamas was talking the whole day!😅 This is a “must do” when in Budapest, seeing the scenic Danube and walking thru it’s beautiful and historic streets and old town squares.

Tamas was our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the country’s history and told us a lot during the tour. He was very friendly and offered us choices during the tour according to our interest and time schedule. The 3 cities visited during the tour had important history in the country and views were great too. Overall, we had great time in the private tour.
