Wide variety of animals seen mainly around water holes and lagoons. Elephants, jackals, boar, mongooses, heaps of crocs and birds. However the mad sprint along rough roads to join a queue of 20 other jeeps in order to see a leopard when one is seen detracted from the experience and suggest speak to your driver at the start if this isnt your thing.
Worst Safari experienced Just roamed around the placed by jeep But could not see anything except few boars, deers & elephant (5 in numbers) To see such few wild animals during the 3 hour drive was unacceptable as well as hectic. Wont recommend any one else to waste your precious money
We were picked up at 5:00 am to be on time before the park opened. There were a lot of other jeeps but when we were Inside everyone choose their routes so it was a bit quieter. After waiting a while we were able to spot a leopard ! And get a surprise visit of a couple groups of elephants. They won’t end the tour before you’ve seen something incredible. We were back at 11am. Rangers also help u spot the animals. Overall s great experience
Great experience, unfortunately the leopards were hiding but we still got about the park and seen a lot. Guide was incredibly knowledgeable and punctual and picked up at exactly the right time.
I had the most incredible time on the half day with HKN Safari, a special thanks to Nimal for arranging this amazing trip and to my exceptional driver and guide, Manjula. The safari in Yala is a beautiful experience. I was fortunate enough to watching the sky lighten up while an elephant is bathing himself and leopard playing with cubs. It was a real treat to the eyes and memorable.!! Manjula has great experience driver in HKN safari, and had an amazing eye for spotting animals. I highly recommend HKN Safari and team for anyone looking to explore the wonders of Yala National Park!
It was an incredible experience. We even saw a leopard! Arranging the tickets was easy and fast. In the morning the driver picked us up and we went to the Yala park. We were one of the first in the park. The driver did his utmost to show us all the animals. He explained what the intention was and had a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast with him! A downside is that when an animal is spotted somewhere, many cars come to it.
Sam our driver was punctual and friendly. We arrived at the park entrance early with hundreds of other Jeeps so we thought that we would be on a conga line tour of the park with hundred of other tourists. As soon as we entered Am broke away from the group and suddenly we were on our own. He know where the animals were and would stop to point them out. We saw a lot of different birds and animals. Sam was great.
Really nice driver and good at spotting the animals. He was also good at explaining the different animals and talking about the national park
Nice sunrise. Didn’t see any leopards. Saw a mongoose, crocodile, water hogs, deers and 2 elephants. Too many jeeps together.
I enjoyed the safari. The driver was polite and tried to find all kinds of animals. We did not see a leopard though. However, we exited the park and went home around 10am even though the listing says 6+ hours and the ticket allowed us to stay in the park until 12.
