Itinerario

The pictures don't do justice to this experience! It was a trip of a lifetime. I think we will go back during the rainy season just to see the 'Christmas Tree'!
Amazing experience. Definitely must go!! Mind-blowing place. The speedboat ride through the river in the canyons is astounding. We got to see so many birds and wildlife. 100% recommend it :)
Fue increíble! I would go again for sure!! It was like seeing another world. The people were kind and the guides were great!
We had a bad experience at this tour. We actually left the group early and had to spend more money to get a private car because they published that the tour would be from 9AM to 3PM but we would have been back at San Cristobal at 6.30PM because at 4.45PM they were closing the time at Chiapas de Corzo (the supposed last stop). The only good things were…we were picked up on time, and the canyon was really beautiful. Started the tour weird, we had to do a separate stop to pick up the “English speaking guide” (we paid extra for an English tour as our Spanish is not that good). We drove to two spots to see views but it was all foggy so we could not see anything. The driver drove badly along the mountainous area that we got carsick and got headaches. Forgivable but still a bad experience. We drove around and finally got to the canyon at around 1PM, where they announced we were going to do a 2 hour tour and have lunch afterwards. So no one told us they planned lunch at 3 pm. We bought some snacks to tide us over. After the canyon tour, there were restos right at the exit but they made us walk a few blocks uphill to get to this restaurant where the guide was hyping up this “amazing” meal. OK. We were hungry so we just followed. We then get to this cafeteria looking place with a buffet that honestly looked unsanitary. Did not tell us how much it was, and we were shocked at the end when it was 480 Mexican Pesos for food and two coca colas. WAY MORE than the “Instagrammable high end restos” in San Cristobal. I won’t be surprised if they had some kickback from this cafeteria. The food was mediocre at best. We ate coz we were very hungry. Getting the bill from this cafeteria was the last straw for us so we opted to get a taxi on our own and go back to San Cristobal. We informed the tour guide that we left the group and we waited for their response to make sure that they knew we were not joining the trip back. We were very happy we did it. Looking back, we would have enjoyed renting our own car and doing the canyon and the “Miradores” on our own. The views, flora and fauna were breathtakingly beautiful, however this specific tour soured our experience.
Amazing!!! The sinkhole canyon is a must-see activity if you visit Chiapas. It is wonderful, an imposing landscape, from the moment you reach its viewpoints you feel the power of the energy of the place, in the boat we manage to see crocodiles, birds of many species, and even spider monkeys!!! The explanation of the person who took us in the boat was enough and the whole Super friendly staff. Worth it!!!!
This was a fantastic tour, the canyon is beautiful and well worth a visit. We were provided with an English guide on the boat trip which was very helpful and made the trip much more informative and interesting. We then went to lunch in the nearby town of Chiapas de Corzo. There was enough time for everything and we had a good day. Having said this, the organisation by Viator was not good - we were due to do this tour the day before and nobody turned up to pick us up. The phone numbers we’d been given went straight to voicemail and we couldn’t get in contact with anyone until we downloaded the app and contacted the tour operator (an hour after we should have been picked up) and they said they had no record of the booking. It seems to me that it is an essential part of Viator’s job to ensure that the bookings made on their site are transferred effectively to the agent and we were extremely disappointed this wasn’t done. It was lucky that we were able to rearrange for the following day as it also involved rearranging our hotel and onward travel plans. I would recommend booking directly with the tour provider.
The tour operator never showed up, it was supposed to pick us up at our hotel at 9, I contacted the tour operator through their website at 9:22 (they didn’t reply on the Viator app) and they didn’t provide help to do the tour the same day (only refund - that is still to be received - or tour for another day). The support took long time to reply and even refused the WhatsApp calls (we didn’t know yet what to do, if they were picking up or not)
We loved it! Awe inspiring views and the wildlife viewing was fantastic. Our driver and guide were also excellent. We weren't staying in the same area as the other guests and our guide made sure we had transport to get home safe. The service was above and beyond!
An incredible landscape. It's amazing what nature has created. Everything is well organized, you get a vest and off you go. Along the canyon you are guided to places worth seeing. Unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish. Before you leave you can buy drinks and you also get a freezer with ice. During the trip we saw crocodiles (2) and I saw a monkey from a distance swinging from tree to tree. Now to the crocodiles. Apparently there are a lot of them. In another review I read that there are doubts about the authenticity of the crocodiles. And to be honest, I agree. The boats are very loud and you are deliberately taken to two places where, as if by a miracle, there is a crocodile. It doesn't move. There are children swimming just a few hundred meters away. So I doubt the authenticity, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. Unfortunately not full marks: firstly the amount of rubbish and secondly the probably not real crocodiles. Full marks for nature, of course.
Excellent tour, the canyon is amazing and we saw monkeys and crocodiles. The English guide was amazing and made the tour for us. Highly recommended
