We booked a tour while visiting Croatia to Ston, including an oyster farm and a local winery—and it was absolutely spectacular! The oyster farming process was fascinating to see firsthand. It’s clear how much hard work and dedication goes into it, and the oysters themselves were incredibly fresh and delicious. The family who runs the farm was so warm and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. The winery was another highlight—excellent wines, especially the whites, and a wonderful host who made the tasting both fun and informative. A huge thank you to our driver and guide, Mislav, who truly made the day unforgettable. He shared so much interesting history during the drive and even sent us great restaurant recommendations afterward. An amazing experience from start to finish—highly recommend. Five stars!
This was a great day out of the city. Driver picked us up directly from our hotel and drove us to Ston while telling us about the area and answering any questions. There were 6 on this tour. We had just enough time on our own in Ston to walk the walls around the city and buy some salt (others opted to grab a coffee in the town). Next we went out on a boat to eat fresh oysters and mussels. This was the highlight of the day, and the oyster farm owner really made it a fun stop, explaining what he does and giving us a few drinks with the food. ;) Last stop was for a great wine tasting, which really rounded out the day. Well worth the time and cost, I’ve already recommended this day trip to others.

An experience not to be missed! The driver Mislav is very nice and competent. The boat tour to the oyster farm with the related tasting was very interesting and the oysters were spectacular. Then a visit and wine tasting in the cellar and also a visit to Ston (stunning view). Everything was perfect and everyone was very kind. I repeat, an experience to do without any doubt.

Oyster experience great. Personalised boat tour with oyster farmer on a small craft to suit 8 or so people. We only had 2 couples. Plenty of fresh oysters and mussels cooked with onion and garlic etc. also some family wine. The other parts of the tour including Ston village not worth the time after coming from Dubrovnik Old Town. An expensive 4 hour trip - 2 of which were in the back of a van in transit.
This was such an incredible experience for myself and a large group of friends. We had a very convenient pickup and drop off right at our Airbnb and transportation was smooth. The oyster tour was an absolute highlight and we haven’t stopped talking about it. They were easily the best oysters and mussels we’ve ever tasted - pulled straight out of the sea! The winery experience was lovely and intimate. There was even a little bit of time to walk around Ston and get some coffee and pastries at the start of the day. The entire day was smooth, very well planned and so much fun. If you like seafood and wine you must book!
This trip was a blast! Tour guide was amazing and funny. Kept us entertained the whole trip. Oyster farm with Dubo was fantastic. Food was as fresh as possible (oysters picked right in front of us) and glass continuously filled with homemade wine. Next the winery with Mia was great. Got to try 3 delicious local wines. Overall this was an incredible day and we would highly recommend. Only downside to note - if you are staying in old town you need to walk a bit to the pickup spot.
10/10! This was the highlight of our trip! Seeing where the oysters and mussels came from and getting to have them fresh for the first time was a game changer. We won’t be able to eat regular oysters after this. 😂 Stefan was great! We also loved visiting the family winery. Please do this if you can!!
If love oysters and mussels and want to know about Croatian culture, this would be a fun way to get to know about these things. And the winery visit was a bonus!
