Stand Up Paddle en Marine Sanctuary

My family and I had an amazing trip trying SUP for the first time. Our guide, Nate, was a great teacher to our 9yr old. He was accommodating towards our needs and adjusted plans accordingly. The food was great too!

This was an absolutely incredible experience!!!! Nate was an amazing instructor and was full of enthusiasm and fun tidbits and stories. He was so patient with us as beginners and made the experience so personal and bespoke to us. The area is incredibly beautiful, I honestly couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Thank you Nate for an amazing time!!

My girlfriend and I had an absolute blast learning to paddle board with Nate. Not only is he an awesome guy, but he offers a truly unique way to experience the beautiful waters, scenery, and history of Sesimbra. It does not matter what skill level you are with paddling because Nate provides plenty of instruction and makes you feel safe and confident in the water. Half way through the tour he whipped up a tasty lunch while we relaxed on a hidden beach. It’s a must do if you’re planning a trip to Portugal.

We where in Sesimbra for four days so it was luck that we could join this amazing tour. I called Friday and we where on the tour Saturday because of a cancellation. We learned how to paddle, saw one of the most beautiful beaches and had the most amazing views. Nate was awesome and funny. He made you feel comfortable while teaching you what the most important things to remember are. He really knows what he is doing and has a great energy. Worth the price!

We did the paddle winery tour plus another morning of paddle boarding. Couldn’t get enough! Nate gave us clear instructions and we felt very safe. He has great stories to tell and knows all the good places to check out in the area. During the tour by car we stopped at some interesting spots. Paddle boarding is a lot of fun and Mana Kai is the only one with the real paddle boards (not inflatable ones). Highly recommend booking here! Including the winery tour is worth it as well, you will see some amazing things and try out some very local wines.

I can highly recommend this SUP! It was our first time paddling and our first time at Arrabida Nature Park and we literally fell in love with this place. Nate was an excellent guide, with many many tips and such a positive attitude. We live in Lisbon and therefore we saw beautiful spots here, but this one was/ is one of our favorites. Besides Nate took awesome pictures and videos of us, which could remind us of this beautiful day. Thank u for this and every thing else you taught us!

The paddle tour was great, enjoyable, and empowering. Nate makes you feel comfortable with his good mood and stories. It is funny that it takes a non-local to tell you bits of Portuguese history that makes me proud and more knowledgeable. Thanks for the great experience!

SUP with Nate was a ton of fun and overall great experience. He's a fantastic host, very friendly and funny. Being out on clear water looking at sealife after a relaxing lunch on a remote beach was a truly peaceful and therapeutic experience! Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to discover the area in between Setubal and Sesimbra

This trip was the highlight of my time in Portugal! Nate is an excellent teacher, and you couldn’t find a more beautiful place to go paddle boarding. Nate showed us the coolest parts of the beach, and in the middle we stopped and snorkeled around and then ate the most delicious local snacks. He could not have been more accommodating and I’m so glad I went on this experience. The next day, he also sent us a link with photos and videos from his GoPro that he took during the experience, which all came out amazing as well. Thanks Nate, it was amazing and I hope to come back to Portugal and do another paddle with you!

If you want to learn SUP in a beautiful location, I highly recommend taking lessons from Nate and his team. They are dedicated and passionate about their profession and teach you the skills and especially how to be safe there! After a short and clear lesson from Nate, you start practicing with the board. Nate stays close, but lets you go your own way, so you have all the freedom and can 'learn' from yourself. They are very knowledgeable and fun, so you will not only learn SUP, but you will also have a most memorable experience and leave with a big smile on your face. Nate is very friendly and helpful. I was really glad I signed up and would definitely recommend it to anyone! Even for people like me with no experience at all. I am also really tempted to go back to Sesimbra and book SUP lessons with Mana Kai Divers again! Thanks again for everything, and I hope to see you soon! Aloha XXX
