The airport experience as a first time visitor was seamless and very smooth. The only snag was our customer service staff to help us with his wheelchair was also the Alligiant check in agent, then this gentleman then had to help with the boarding my husband; he did this also with a smile and efficiently! I believe this was the beginning of of the shutdown of the government and beginning of short staffing.

St. Pete Clearwater Airport (PIE) is a smaller airport serving the Clearwater/ St. Pete area. It is laid out in a very user friendly way. Just watch the signage and you are good to go. The staff is very friendly and helpful should you need assistance. If you're looking for nice places to eat there, I suggest you eat before you come. We flew in on Allegiant Air and the gate attendants were great. They kept us informed of our outbound flight about every 15-20 minutes. Being a smaller airport getting from place to place is really simple. As I said, follow the signs. We rented a car for the week and their desk is opposite the baggage claim. I feel if you can, use this airport instead of Tampa Airport. It's is much more convenient !
