A highly recommended experience, they are great, very friendly and polite. You cook several typical dishes from the country and they involve you in the process, they explain everything to you, but first they take you to the market and accompany you to choose the products and ingredients. Grandma is the best. Don't hesitate, do it and book to have the best experience in Sri Lanka.

Best cooking class we have ever done. Such a variety of dishes and granny was so patient. What a delightful experience. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. Beautiful village atmosphere too.

We had a lot of fun and the food was fantastic, it was very authentic and we were able to learn a lot. It is a bit hard to get to, but the ride with a tuk-tuk is included. The people are very nice and speak really good English. We would definitely do it again.

We had such a wonderful experience with Cooking Lesson with Granny in Sri Lanka! The experience started with a tuk-tuk pick-up at our hotel, which was already a fun way to start the experience. We first went to the local market to buy the ingredients, where we also learned more about the different ingredients and how they are used in Sri Lankan cooking. After the market, we visited a spice garden. It was interesting and we learned a something about the different herbs and spices. The only downside was that the spice garden felt a little commercial and they really tried to get you to buy something. We also did get a lovely massage there, which was a nice bonus! The cooking lesson itself was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was able to participate, and Granny explained everything clearly and patiently. It was such a fun and hands-on experience, and we really enjoyed learning how to prepare the different Sri Lankan dishes. And the food… WOW! Everything was absolutely delicious. In fact, it was definitely the best food we have eaten in Sri Lanka so far! You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. It was not only a great cooking class, but also a wonderful way to experience the local culture, food and hospitality. An absolute must-do!

It was very fun. I love Sri Lankan curry and wanted to try a cooking class. This activity I found there was very good. It was a good experience.

An excellent cooking class with Granny! A lovely family home filled with plants and fish, with a spacious outdoor cooking area. Optional market visit, and Granny went through all the ingredients, taught us how to prepare, and cook. There were plenty of dishes we chose mainly veggie with 1 chicken. We shared our meal and Granny made some coconut & sugar pancakes to finish. Really enjoyable!

You can't miss this if you are in Kandy. It is a bit higher in the mountains, but it is definitely worth the effort. You come home to a family in a beautiful valley. You are welcomed with tea. Grandma gives the cooking lesson and helps you through the cooking lesson. She is super sweet and funny. The food is delicious and you learn about the ingredients and the local cuisine.

Nice experience! The people were really Nice. the location was really beautiful, the kitchen was big enough for more then 9 people. The guides really helped us cook the dinner and took in consideration that we cant eat spicy food that well. Would really recommend!
